The junior forward had a big night for Cleveland, as she got hot early and stayed hot to the tune of 22 points, and three made threes. As we watch Cleveland moved towards tourney time, Brewer’s performance was really encouraging. The fact that Cleveland almost came away with a big time upset on a night that Lauren Hurst Lauren Hurst 6’3″ | PF Cleveland | 2025 State TN only scored 7 points is a testament to the score by committee approach by Cleveland.
Tanner has played terrific basketball for Cleveland off the bench this season. Game after game, she finds a way to impact winning with her high effort and energy. She fit some big time perimeter shots versus Bradley and finished the night with 9 points. Her defense and rebounding made it really hard to take off the floor.
Highlights
Smith has continued to prove that she’s one of the better ’25 shooters in her class. She finished the night with nine points, and as always, played high-level defense, and rebounded especially well as guard. Her length, toughness, athleticism, IQ and shotmaking makes it impossible to keep her off the floor.
Malia Wilcox
Malia Wilcox
Wilcox gets my game MVP. The junior guard simply keeps getting better and better. She’s a defensive menace, and sets the tone on that end for Bradley. Wilcox had a game high five steals, and led the way with 5 assists as well. She’s more than answered the bell as Bradley’s starting PG, and she’s also starting to get confident from the perimeter (she was 2-3 from 3).
I’m just a big fan of Geren’s game. She’s a high level shot perimeter shooter (hit 2 threes), is hyper competitive, strong bodied and big shoulders. She’s also a high IQ kid that sees the floor well and I’ve witnessed her make some dimes! She defends, she communicates…she does all the little things well.
