I may have envied that 18 years ago too! The final score was Greenbrier East 66, Princeton 51. Ava finished with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Shooters shoot, right? Yes, Workman drilled the first 3 of the game and she did not cool off. This young star continues to put on complete performances. She is an athlete that will be highly recruited! If you are looking for efficiency and consistency, you can find that in Workman! Ava completed numerous old-fashioned 3 point plays. She knows exactly how to get to the rim. I love how Workman penetrates the gaps and knows when to go up or jump stop and kick out. We are in a time where so many players lack the fundamentals so appreciate Ava's approach to the game! Stewart also pulled in 7 rebounds! On a night where the outside shot was not falling in the first half, Stewart's confidence never wavered. She drilled two 3's in the 3rd quarter and impacted the game in numerous ways! Stewart knows how to get to the rim and when she does, she is lethal. I loved the beautiful reverse layup and let's not forget the behind the back move when she created space and knocked down a jumper. Stewart is one of the best ball handlers that you will find! The ball is truly on strings when it's in her hands. The junior put on quite the performance against Princeton. She's crafty at the rim and she has a really nice euro step. Jada is another great weapon on this young Greenbrier East team! Waller was efficient and starred in her role all night! She has great length and she definitely uses it to her advantage.
