<p>The end of the season is near and the start of playoffs is right around the corner. Now is the time to look at candidates for conference player of the year. Here are some candidates who have a good chance of being named Northern Athletic Conference Player of The Year.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='300653' first='Caitlyn' last='Jones'] | Guard | 2025 | Rolesville High School</strong></p>

<p>Dynamic scoring guard who recently crossed the 1000-point mark for her career. She is the leader of a Rolesville Rams team with a 19-4 (9-0 in Conference) record and looks to be a serious threat in the playoffs. She is averaging 23.6 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 4.5 APG on the season. She also adds 3.2 SPG on the defensive end of the floor. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='617117' first='Chiquora' last='Miles'] | Guard | 2025 | Wake Forest High School</strong></p>

<p>Miles is a versatile all-around player who leaves it all out on the floor every night. She has been one of the catalysts for her team's turnaround from a season ago. She is averaging 15.2 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 1.3 APG on the season. She also accumulated defensive averages of 2.7 SPG and 1.5 BPG.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='671525' first='Ja'Kiyah' last='Moore'] | Guard | 2025 | Knightdale High School</strong></p>

<p>Transferring from Corinth Holders High School, Moore has led Knightdale with her stellar play. She has been one of the reasons that Knightdale has competed on a nightly basis. She has averaged 12.0 PPG, 7.9 RPG, and 4.7 APG. Defensively, she has averaged 2.8 SPG and 1.0 BPG.</p>

<p><strong>Layla Bagwell | Guard | 2026 | Wakefield High School</strong></p>

<p>Bagwell is one of the main players on a balanced Wakefield team. Her contributions have been valuable to the Wolverines who have a record of 16 -6 (6-2 in conference). She has paced the team with averages of 11.1 PPG, 1.8 RPG, and 1.7 APG. Defensively she has added 2.5 SPG. </p>
