We remember how Jones’ heroics were so instrumental in leading Rolesville to victory in last season’s 4A state championship matchup over Charlotte Catholic. Last season’s victory at Wake Forest’s Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum gave her good feelings about the Demon Deacons. Jones announced this past summer that she would commit to the Demon Deacons for her collegiate career. She averaged 23.1 points, 4.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and four steals last season for the Rams – including a 27-point performance in last season’s 4A state game.

Caitlyn Jones Caitlyn Jones 5'8" | CG Rolesville | 2025 State NC has an amazing change of speed in the open court. She handles the basketball very well and can get in the paint and score over nearly any defender. Jones reads the defense well and knows when to get to the rim, when to pull up in the paint, and when to drop a pass to a teammate. She is a tremendous talent who has already committed to play college hoops at Wake Forest University.

Caitlyn Jones was making her moves handling the ball creating her own space and pulling up for jumpers. She used her tough defense on the other end pushing the ball up the court and making floaters in transition from the paint. She followed shots getting rebounds on the defensive side of the ball. She took matters into her own hands when her team needed a boost attacking the basket weaving around her opponents to get to the rim. She showed her athleticism with a nice shot block in transition.

Caitlyn Jones is an outstanding player on the court. She helped Rolesville High School win the State Championship with a 27-point performance over Charlotte Catholic. She shot 11 of 12 from the foul line and also passed for 7 assists in the come-from-behind victory. Jones is a dynamic player with an extremely high ceiling. This summer, she will be on the court with the Elevate Elite 3SSB basketball club.

Caitlyn Jones has clear court vision, and that’s apparent every time she brings the ball up the court. She can slow up her pace throwing off her defender and immediately find the opening attacking it on her way to the rim. Her change of speed comes back into play with her ability to jump stop and make a jumper from anywhere on the court. Defenders collapse around her trying to stop her from getting to the basket, and she still finds her open teammates making the pass to get her team some points.

Caitlyn Jones is so athletic getting to the hoop handling the ball all the way herself. She is another guard that uses some nice change of direction moves like behind the back dribbles and crossovers to lose her defender and get to the basket on solo fast breaks. Her hesitation moves are also difficult to defend as she can pull up quickly for the jumper or blow by her opponent after the brief slow down to score. She makes some nice adjustments at the rim scoring her points, and she is a knockdown shooter from deep.

Jones is a high-level scorer who’s already ranked fifth in the PGH NC 2025 Rankings. She produced in a variety of ways with the Lady Rams this past season as a sophomore, leading the way with 18.1 PPG, 4.4 SPG, 4.2 APG and 4.0 RPG this past season. As she shows off her development shooting the ball on the perimeter, look for recruitment to continue to grow.
