On the weekend of February 2-4th, the Phhacility Classic by Hoopers On1y took place in Phoenix. The girls' prep division had out-of-state teams, international teams, and some local teams. [program_tooltip program_id='713210' first='Bella' last='Vista Prep'] completed the weekend, being the only undefeated team at 3-0.

Here, I look at some of the Prep Division standouts:

[player_tooltip player_id='591097' first='Gal' last='Raviv'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713210' first='Bella' last='Vista Prep'])

If there was a most outstanding player in the event, it was probably Gal. She ran the offense beautifully, getting her teammates the ball where they could be most effective. When she needed to, she got her offense going. She easily got into the lane, creating for herself and her teammates. The Quinnipiac signee is looking like a steal more and more.

[player_tooltip player_id='558894' first='Aiyanna' last='Perkins'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713210' first='Bella' last='Vista Prep'])

Perkins continues to show that she is the real deal. She was equally terrorizing on offense as she was on defense. On offense, at times, it was too easy for her. Her mid-range game flowed, and she got out on the break and finished often. Her on-the-ball defense was so tight that she had some ball handlers not wanting to bring it up the court against her.

[player_tooltip player_id='850046' first='Sydney' last='Fenn'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713512' first='AZ' last='Compass'])

The Indiana signee is known primarily as a shooter but she showed that she has the offensive package to get in the paint and do work when needed. She showed a variety of post moves that were effective. Syd is also an above-average rebounder who knows how to outlet the ball once she has it.

[player_tooltip player_id='414932' first='Aniya' last='Rowe'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713512' first='AZ' last='Compass'])

Rowe is a pure floor general who doesn't let the opposing defenses speed her up. She plays at her own pace, which allows her to pick apart defenses. She displayed good court vision when in the open court. On defense, she played very good weak side defense as well as on the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='825569' first='Mariam' last='Traore'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713210' first='Bella' last='Vista Prep'])

Traore was a menace in the paint and couldn't be stopped. She has excellent hands and catches passes even if they're off-target. She has an ability that most don't have: When she catches a pass down low, she gets it off so fast that the defender doesn't have time to contest it.

[player_tooltip player_id='588549' first='Adeang' last='Ring'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713210' first='Bella' last='Vista Prep'])

This forward was a mismatch for whoever tried to cover her. She was too long for shorter defenders and used her length to reach over them. When guarded by a taller perimeter player, she brought them out and shot jump shots. On defense, her length allowed her, even when she was beaten, to recover and block the shot or make it very difficult.

[player_tooltip player_id='850054' first='Jailynn' last='Clayton'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713512' first='AZ' last='Compass'])

Clayton is a nice all-around guard who does some of everything on the court. She played at a good pace and never got bothered by defensive pressure. She showed the ability to score from different spots on the floor. She was one of the better players I saw over the weekend on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='791155' first='Grace' last='Strickland'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713210' first='Bella' last='Vista Prep'])

The lefty showed her normal accuracy from well beyond the three-point line. She also showed that she could put the ball on the floor and attack the rim. On the defensive end, she showed a willingness to sit down and turn the ball handler. She was very impressive with her defensive effort, matching her shooting ability.
