As the Regional Playoffs continue, the play down low has been impressive. In this article, we look at some of the power forwards who have stood out and have been difference makers on the courts.

[player_tooltip player_id='248345' first='Clare' last='Coyle'] was a beast in her last game against Ribault and was the difference maker in the ball game. Coyle finished the game with 21 points and 20 rebounds and Bishop Kenny needed every rebound and every point to get past cross city rival Ribault. Coyle did a little of everything. She handled the ball, played on the wing, played on the blocks, and scored and rebounded as stated. She hurt Ribault in the paint, especially on the offensive glass. Coyle has been impressive all season and very good in the last 6 games, averaging over 20 points per game. Against Ribault, she was all of that and a "bag of chips" (21 points, 20 rebounds). She put the team on her back and refused to let them lose. She was indeed a difference maker.

[player_tooltip player_id='651771' first='Kyana' last='Poitier'] stood out throughout the post season, averaging a double- double, including a monster game with 28 points and 20 rebounds and another game with 17 points and 21 rebounds. Poitier, one of the top power forwards in the state, had a special season with an 18 point per game average. For the season, she also pulled down an average of 15.3 rebounds per game. Poitier recorded 19 double-doubles in 23 games. She tracks the ball well and knows how to score in the paint. Defensively, she can defend in space and in the painted area.

[player_tooltip player_id='751628' first='Chamiah' last='Francis'] has scored 97 points in her last 4 games and also snagged 56 rebounds as well. What Francis does in the paint is scary good. She plays through contact and converts a high percentage of her shots (52 percent for the season). Francis can handle the ball, lead the break and can take it coast to coast. The elite Sophomore can also shoot the midrange jumper and even step behind the three point arc. Francis is a force in the paint on both ends of the floor. She has great footwork and can defend throughout the painted area. She is intimidating on the inside and has great timing on blocking shots. Francis is a difference maker and one of the top Sohomores in the State of Florida.

[player_tooltip player_id='722918' first='Kasey' last='Davey'] has been balling in the post season and has been been a difference maker. Davey has averaged neartly 15 points in the last 3 games and recorded 8 blocked shots as well. Davey has been a force in the middle all season, but is also very versatile playing on the wing. She can score on the inside and also play on the wing and score. Davey also hits the boards and has averaged close to 7 rebounds in the last three games. Davey also has great passing skills fand does a good job of deliviering the pass to the center/power forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='722919' first='Julianna' last='Baskin'] has been solid all season as has averaged basically a double-double for the season with 10.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Baskin has recorded double figures in total blocks in the post season and does a good job of controlling the middle. Baskin gets great position in the paint and has great hands. She can score the ball on the inside when she gets it. Baskin was a difference maker all season and has continued that steady play in the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='221646' first='Terriyanna' last='Medlock'] (cover) played well in the post season and showed a lot of maturity and versatility were impressive against Bishop Kenny. Medlock rebounded well and scored well on the attack. she also showed versatility, playing out on the wing and shooting from behind the arc at times. Medlock was also impressive on the defensive end and did a good job of defending on the wings and on the inside. Medlock was a difference maker and was one of the reasons Bishop Kenny trailed the majority of the first half.

[player_tooltip player_id='808194' first='Anjela' last='Tumsifu'] has averaged 12 points per game in the last 3 games and has blocked 9 shots in those 3 games. Tumsifu can score on the inside and when gets deep on the blocks, she is virtually unstoppable. Defense is her main role and she is an intimidator in the middle. Teams may matchup on the outside, but not many teams have a 6'5" big anchoring the middle. Tumsifu sets NFEI apart from a lot of teams and she has delivered all season. She has been a difference maker for her team and plays well to her strengths.

As the Regional Playoffs continue, the play down low has been impressive. In this article, we look at some of the power forwards who have stood out and have been difference makers on the courts.
