In the Kingfisher win on Saturday, Snider played the role of a more traditional forward prospect. She set strong screens (also dangerous as a roller), sealed well when fronted and battled against a taller Broken Bow line. She was unbothered by contact on one post possession finish in particular. While her focus seemed to be doing the dirty work around the rim, she hinted at her perimeter skills. Which included nailing a top of the key three and looking confident while helping the Lady Yellowjackets break the press.

Pivniska did the dirty work for a sharpshooting Millerettes squad in a win over Moore. Her size was needed against a taller Moore frontline, and the junior answered the call with rebounds, challenging shots and even had a couple good finishes on offense. But she also showed she’s more than just a battler around the basket. The junior joined in on the three point party with a big three during Yukon’s second half run that helped them pull away. Along with a nice defensive rep, where her quick hands forced a turnover in transition.

Carney is a versatile offensive threat for the Lady Tigers. There was a stretch in the second half where the Lady Tigers climbed in front and then looked like they would run away with it. And the junior forward was at the heart of their offensive success. She rained three pointers when left open, while also being a strong driver off the dribble. Including one drive where she showed nimbleness to go along with her power to split two defenders for a strong “And 1” finish. With the height and wingspan to play big around the hoop and a modern offensive game, the junior is an intriguing prospect.
The sophomore has a huge wingspan and puts it to use on the defensive end as a rebounder and playing the passing lanes. Myers flashed strong defensive instincts with how she reads plays while playing off the ball defense. Along with deflections to disrupt the flow of the offense, she also recorded steals where she quickly turned defense into offense. When given opportunities on the offensive end she was efficient, including hitting a corner three. And helped the Lady Yellowjackets continue to pour it on in the second half, when she had a strong And 1 finish after her team broke the press.
Highlights
An athletic wing prospect, Gaston shined on the defensive end often making an impact as an energetic havoc causer. At one point she looked like a defensive back with the way she explosively jumped and stole a pass near half court. She also looked to grab defensive rebounds and push it, where she’s unselfish and set up teammates for good looks. Her size and athleticism mark her down as an interesting prospect to keep an eye on. And while her offensive impact was muted, Gaston did hit a corner three.
Highlights
A quick spark-plug of a lead guard. She’s a disruptive defender who knows how to position herself to take charges on the ball while also seemingly being everywhere to grab loose balls, poke out a sloppy dribble or jump a passing lane. The same quickness makes Fite a tough cover on the offensive end, especially as she’s a willing passer.

The productive freshman from southeastern Oklahoma saw her first high school season come to a close in Blanchard on Saturday, but showed great promise as a strong and fundamentally sound forward prospect. She plays big around the rim, especially as a rebounder who attacks the glass with ferocity. On offense, Woolsey rarely has wasted motions. She’s quick and decisive, keeping the ball high with great touch around the basket. With a fluid movement profile for a young player of her height and frame, Woolsey is a freshman that will require further monitoring going forward.
