Dozens of Kansas senior prospects have already committed or signed to play college ball next season, including a haul of seven top prospects by Butler Community College. In the third of a series on top ranked players still available I now look at the top shooting guards. In each I plan to focus on the top five but in this installment six prospects are included due to one prospect, Gabi McFall, having been errantly included in the 2025 class rankings. She will appear in the final class rankings update due to be released in March. Enjoy this look at shooting guards. The first two parts presented uncommitted bigs and point guards.
Gabrielle McFall Gabrielle McFall 5'10" | CG Blue Valley Northwest | 2025 State KS , 5’11”, Blue Valley Northwest – My PGH colleague Grant McGinnis had high praise for McFall when he saw her in April 2022. He liked her length, bounce, wingspan, quick hands, and how light on her feet she was. Fast, athletic, and fluid she seems to do a great deal of things effortlessly. She makes good decision with the ball, finishes creatively around the rim, and shoots it with range. Her size at the position on both ends, let alone her intensity and athleticism, creates many problems for whomever she is matched up with. McFall has a very quick trigger and shoots it with range. She is also a very good jump shooter.
RaMya Kennedy RaMya Kennedy 5'8" | SF Wichita South | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, Wichita South – Kennedy, a 2023 Greater Wichita Activities League second team selection, has great size at the position. An athletic, fast, scoring guard Kennedy also is a high IQ player. Unafraid of contact Kennedy is tough to guard off the dribble or in transition as she will also quickly can the pull-up jumper or step back and hit the three ball. Her ability to create benefits teammates expecting dime drops or kick-outs to spotting up shooters.
Tyler Vidricksen Tyler Vidricksen 5'8" | SG Salina Central | 2024 State KS , 5’8″, Salina Central – Vidricksen is a experienced, streaky, perimeter shooter with 23′ range. She has a smooth motion and release off the catch and also pulled the trigger while dribbling on the perimeter. Quick enough to play on the top of the full court zone press Vidrickson frequently is matched up with opposing post players when her quickness and length is needed on both sides of the ball.
McKinley Kruger McKinley Kruger 5'6" | PG Silver Lake | 2024 State KS , 5’6″, Silver Lake – Kruger, a two-time Mid-East League first team and 2023 KBCA 3A honorable mention selection, is an important shooter for the lone undefeated team in the classification. Over the years she has been regarded as terrific perimeter shooter with range who can really heat up. In last season’s first round game at the state tournament she blistered her opponent for 4 three pointers. This season she is averaging more than 17 points per game for the Eagles who are striving to ship a championship this year after being denied by two-time defending champion Goodland the last two seasons.
Jera Kruleski Jera Kruleski 5'7" | SG Holcomb | 2024 State KS , 5’9″, Holcomb – Kruleski is an important ball handler, scorer, and shooter for the Longhorns. Her length really benefits her in the open court as she uses that to her advantage going over or around defenders for a score. She knows how to get to her spots, will shoot prolifically if left open, and will shoot it with range. Kruleski can fill up the hoop quickly. In the past year she has improved significantly in her physicality and defensive proficiency.
Sydney Schibi Sydney Schibi SG Parsons | 2024 State KS , 5’9″, Parsons – Schibi, is averaging 19.8 points per game and crossed the 1,000 point threshhold in early January. She also set the school record for made threes in a game with 11 in 2022. A Southeast Kansas League first team selection a season ago Schibi was a major driver of the Vikings’ run to the 4A state tournament.
