With women's basketball growing as fast as it is, quite a few prospects came to the attention of scouts for the first time. For many as it was our first time seeing them in person.

Here we highlight some of the top newcomers.

[player_tooltip player_id='825569' first='Mariam' last='Traore'] [program_tooltip program_id='713210' first='Bella' last='Vista Prep']

Traore is a fine post prospect who is a load in the paint. She has possibly the best hands in the state and catches almost anything thrown at her. She doesn't waste time when she gets the ball as she goes to work before help can get to her. She's also a very good rebounder and post defender

[player_tooltip player_id='329554' first='Alexiz' last='Graise'] [program_tooltip program_id='713512' first='AZ' last='Compass']

Alexiz is a versatile wing who is a threat on all three levels offensively. She can put the ball on the floor and uses her length in the paint as well as a nice pull up jumper. She has shooting range out to the three-point line and can get hot in a hurry.

[player_tooltip player_id='825620' first='Norah' last='Moo'] Pinnacle

Moo was one of the biggest impact transfers in the AIA. She has size and length that is hard to deal with. On offense she has some nice post moves and knows how to use her body to keep defenders off balance. She is also a high-level rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id='791167' first='Kamya' last='Young'] [program_tooltip program_id='713512' first='AZ' last='Compass']

Young is a up and coming prospect that people should know. On offense she has range that extends past the three-point line and can put the ball on the floor. On defense she will pick up full court and can defend multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='780454' first='Hannah' last='Magness'] Millennium

Even though Hannah was hurt most of the season we were able to see what she could do in the summer and fall. She is a vocal leader and like a coach on the floor. She has a good feel for the game and contributes in multiple ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='821247' first='Savannah' last='Pietila'] Miami

Savannah is a jack of all trades in that she does multiple things well. She is a solid shooter that picks and chooses her spots when to shoot. She's also a very good passer and move well without the ball. On defense she has very good instincts and plays the passing lanes well.
