You can put all points aside! The athletes made this an all-star event to remember by diving for loose balls, taking charges, and doing all of the little things that you don’t usually see at an all-star event!
Below are evaluations on a few players:
If anyone knows how to get to the rim, it’s Ansley! She attacks downhill great and knows how to draw a tough foul! When she gets to the charity stripe, count it. Ansley has a smooth outside shot too! Moore has great instincts and she’s a freshman that everyone will hear more about!

Calli Strunk
Calli Strunk
What is there not to love about Strunk?! Strunk took 2 charges during the all-star game! Yes, she tallied in 14 points on numerous tough drives to the basket! However, her defensive instincts and effort was the most impressive! This is a great young prospect for coaches to keep their eyes on!
You know Cawood is going to be mentioned at any all-star event! She’s exactly that; an all-star! We all know what Cawood can do with the ball in her hands. However, we need to talk more about what she does even when she plays off the ball! She truly has a knack for finding open spots on the court, and this comes from her high IQ! She sank in 2 beautiful threes and went 100% from the foul line! I’ve said it before, and I’ll reiterate that you should not wait on offering this young athlete!

Yes, at no surprise Woodruff led her all-star team in scoring. Lilly penetrates the gaps exceptionally well! She knows how to read the defense and when she gets past the first defender, you can count the bucket! Woodruff is also a good rebounder! When I looked back at her high school season, I was truly not surprised that she averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds per game! Keep your eyes on Lilly because she is going to be a true stock riser!
Highlights
Myrah Hood
Myrah Hood
Hood is a long guard that can definitely make it hard on smaller guards! She finished with 9 points & numerous deflections! She can definitely disrupt her opponents offensive sets by using her length and reading passes! This is a sophomore to keep your eyes on!
Elli West
Elli West
West is one of the do-it-all kids! The lefty can definitely knock down the long ball! She has good shooting mechanics and when her feet are set, she is going to make you pay! This Oneida squad is one to keep your eyes on in the future. I was impressed with the play by West & Larissa Jones!
Lexi Jenkins
Lexi Jenkins
Honestly, you would never know that Lexi is an 8th grader. She’s long and she is a very talented kid! Jenkins poured in 14 points during the all-star game! I was truly left impressed with how Jenkins’ plays the game! She knocked down the mid-range shot, she knocked down a few 3’s, and she was able to show that she is definitely a future star! I don’t know much about Cherokee Middle, but I will be following Jenkins throughout her high school journey!
