Continue ReadingThe freshman came to play on the big stage, dropping a team-high 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, netting three threes. Rogers made plays off the dribble, able to get into the lane for floaters when she wasn’t burying threes. The High Major prospect is a well-rounded scorer with a pretty jumper.
Young buried the dagger from distance with 32 seconds left in regulation to push the lead to five points. She tallied 13 points on the day and utilizes her quickness to slip past defenders.
Highlights
The Georgia Tech-signee exploded in the second half and scored without a heavy dose of free throws, shooting 5-6. Thompson went 4-9 from deep and poured in 37 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. She did everything possible to spark a comeback, scoring from all levels while disrupting the Knights with her length on defense.
Soph Dogg stepped up in a major way with 18 points, making hustle plays and hitting a pair of threes. The freshman has a high ceiling. She plays very hard on both ends of the court and her offensive game is diverse.
21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals is how the Georgia Tech-signee ended her GHSA career. The do-everything superstar stepped on the gas after a slow first few minutes for the Rams. There is nothing Dani can’t do on the court.
The FAU Owl posted 18 points and 6 rebounds. She is so strong in the paint with great functional strength considering her wiry frame. Erin is a tenacious rebounder and a skilled perimeter player that can nail the three-ball.
Marina carried the Wolfpack on offense with 12 points and 4-8 shooting. She added 4 rebounds to her ledger. It was nice to see Sippola attack the defense off the dribble, proving she is more than just a shooter.
