I have been watching G play for about five or six years now and have always been impressed with her knockdown shooting ability from three. She is without question of the very best shooters in Georgia, regardless of class. Her overall game has been coming together the last few years and the result saw her ranking rise up to number 6 overall in Georgia for the 2027 class. Rogers has worked extremely hard to diversify her game and not just be labeled as a shooter. You can see the results as she has been the primary ball handler for HER Elite ‘s 17U EYBL team, proving that she is more than capable of doing so for a Power Four school on the next level. Rogers is a very cerebral player who knows and thinks the game. She has been outstanding when running the point for her team both distributing the ball to her ultra-talented teammates, while also being a serious scoring threat herself. Rogers hit multiple threes in a limited attempts every game of the event. Her efficiency scoring was more than impressive. All of Giaunni’s work is paying off as she recently has picked up offers from Arizona, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Georgia Tech. Rogers bloodline is also strong as she is the daughter of former Auburn star and NFL player Carlos Rogers.

Giaunni has an impeccable and repeatable shooting form that stands out right away. Her release requires very little space, and a couple of controlled dribbles with shiftiness allow her to create separation. She can stop on a dime and knock down the pull-up jumper with consistency and smooth elevation. As a playmaker, Giaunni showed strong decision-making, reading when to deliver a bounce pass versus a chest pass on post entries while also finding open teammates on the perimeter after attacking the defense. Good speed helped her push the pace with both the dribble and advancing the ball with the pass. Defensively, active instincts showed up as she jumped passing lanes and created disruption for opposing teams.

Rogers is a confident scorer who can heat up from the perimeter and create off the bounce. She plays aggressively and brings energy defensively, using her quickness to disrupt passing lanes.

G led the Knights in scoring with 20 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Rogers netted a pair of mid-range jumpers along with two threes. Blessed with a strong frame, Giaunni also attacked downhill to draw fouls instead of settling for all jumpers. She went 6-7 from the foul line while helping space the floor with her outside shot.

The freshman came to play on the big stage, dropping a team-high 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, netting three threes. Rogers made plays off the dribble, able to get into the lane for floaters when she wasn’t burying threes. The High Major prospect is a well-rounded scorer with a pretty jumper.

Rogers is a knockdown shooter with a very mature frame for a freshman. Her shot is picture perfect. Giaunni can score off the catch and off the dribble with either hand. Auburn and Boston College have offered the daughter of former NFL Pro Bowl cornerback Carlos Rogers.

When the high school season tips off, Rogers will be joining a Knights team that posted a 27-6 mark in 2022-23. With four seniors having graduated from last season’s St. Francis rendition, Rogers hopes to play her part in filling that void. Rogers may be listed like a 2027 but she possesses the skillset and basketball IQ of a 2024 or 2025. In one of the games she took part in last weekend in Marietta, she placed 27 points on the board. She averaged more than 20 in the three games she took part in at Next Play 360. Rogers has no issues drawing contact, finishing strong at the rim and getting to the free throw line in addition to anticipating passes.

Rogers is a do it all player but what stood out most was her ability to consistently shoot the 3 ball. She was cash money from behind the arc and if you push her off the 3-point line she showed her ability to knock down the smooth mid-range jump shot. Her ability to score at all 3 levels makes it tough to predict what she can do on the court. She plays beyond her freshman status.
