Last weekend was the annual Shamrock Classic in Westfield, Indiana. Many of the top players and teams were in action, creating a lot of entertaining games. I was able to watch a lot of action all day Saturday, but I focused primarily on 2025s and 2026s. Below is a look at a handful of ladies who always seem to play well, and even when they aren't necessarily the standout in a particular game, they are still highly productive and post numbers. We will have one final follow-up article very soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='295755' first='Lilly' last='Bischoff'], 2025, 5-8 PG, [program_tooltip program_id='712566' first='Indiana' last='Elite'] Thunder 3SSB
- I think the biggest compliment you can offer Lilly is that she is a confident, poised, steady, and efficient point guard. Very little rattles her, and she always seems to take care of the basketball, get it where it needs to go, and when the opportunity presents itself, knock down open shots. I really like how she plays with her head up, scanning the floor, and she isn't looking for the spectacular play, just the winning play. She is effortful and gritty defensively, as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='473675' first='Brynna' last='Collins'], 2025, 5-7 SG/SF, [program_tooltip program_id='712550' first='IGB' last='']-Christopher
- Brynna has grown on me over the years, but over the past 9-12 months I have seen significant changes in her game. She is a strong, physical kid on the wing, and she plays with a nonstop motor. Sometimes that gets her in a little trouble, and she could learn to change speeds better, but she will run through walls for her team. She has touch outside, she's a nice North/South driver, and her handle is improving. She also rebounds her position well.

[player_tooltip player_id='295763' first='Jaylah' last='Lampley'], 2025, 6-2 SF, Lady Gym Rats Platinum EYBL
- I don't know that I've ever seen Jaylah as a post, but when she was younger, she would use her height inside to rebound and defend, and she looked to drive the ball constantly. Now, she is a multilevel threat who has become a dangerous perimeter shooter. She can still mix it up inside, and she's still productive off the bounce, but adding that perimeter jumper has made her incredibly difficult to defend at 6-2. I also like her versatility defensively, and she works at that end as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='692240' first='Caroline' last='Sampson'], 2025, 6-1 C, [program_tooltip program_id='716173' first='Always' last='100'] Platinum E40
- If you haven't noticed, everyone in this article plays with a motor, and Caroline is definitely that kid. She has broad shoulders, nice strength, but she works her tail off, whether it's rim-running from end to end, or just battling around the block for rebounds or post position. But Caroline has other stuff to her game, as she is a nice face-up shooter to near the perimeter. She is comfortable putting it on the floor a little as well, and she defends with effort.

[player_tooltip player_id='496065' first='Mya' last='Thompson'], 2025, 5-5 PG, [program_tooltip program_id='712574' first='Indy' last='Magic']-Scott E40
- Mya isn't always going to put up gaudy numbers, but she is one of those kids who rarely makes a bad decision. She has speed & quickness, length at her height, and she plays with a nice toughness/feistiness. She has a steady handle, good vision, and you aren't going to take the ball from her. She can knock down an open jumper or get to the rim, so when you do allow her the opportunity, she can score it. I also like her intensity at the defensive end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='567134' first='Joslyn' last='Bricker'], 2026, 5-8 PG, OPS-Ankenbruck
- Joslyn has really taken off over the past 12-18 months. She is an extremely long, wiry, but smooth and fluid guard. I felt like she was more of a scorer a year or so ago, but she is a steady and effective point guard now. She plays within herself, doesn't try to be a highlight, but she seemingly makes the "right" play, and sometimes those are highlight-worthy. She is an excellent shooter, an effortful defender, and altogether well-rounded.

[player_tooltip player_id='492324' first='Madalynn' last='Shirley'], 2026, 6-1 PF, [program_tooltip program_id='712566' first='Indiana' last='Elite'] Prime 3SSB
- The first word(s) I think of when it comes to Maddy is skilled...tremendously skilled. When I saw her as an 8th Grader, she already had post moves, countermoves to those, and counters to her counters. She looks like she has drilled things with so much repetition that it has become second nature to her now. She is starting to play almost exclusively away from the rim, though, but she has added a nice 3-point shot, and she can put it on the floor and get downhill.
