During a regional final where her team faced an upset-minded Westside group, the Lewis County junior made sure there was zero chance the Renegades created a mess. Hunt drilled a school-record 10 3s, scored 31 points, and her Minutemaids advanced to Charleston after a 70-33 win over their visitors. She put out multiple fires as the Minutemaids eventually pulled away. She hit trey’s from everyone and continued to show why she’s growing into a wing. Her record-setting day wasn’t anything outside of the business as usual for Hunt. Her outburst marked the second-time in less than a month that she hit 7 or more 3s in a contest. She hit 7 treys in a win over Philip Barbour back on Feb. 8.
Sadaya Jones, Morgantown, W, 5-10, Jr. – BANG! Sadaya came to play as Morgantown faced city rival University with the a trip to Charleston on the line. No doubt about it. She led her team on the floor, according to head coach Doug Goodwin. On top of her 33 points, she showed off a tremendous defensive motor along with one thing all coaches love the most – hustle. One thing I loved most when it came to displays of leadership was her calmness in a crucial moment. With the game tied at 32-all and a crucial foul shot about to take place, Jones pulled her team together, delivered a talk, and, shortly afterwards, the Mohigans found their rhythm. She personally contributed in a closing 30-12 run that put the game out of reach. She went on her own 6-0 run in the fourth quarter that put the game out of reach for good. Jones has come a long way since her freshman season, and with one more year to go, she should be well seasoned for the next level by the time she has to make her big decision.
Autumn Kerchner Autumn Kerchner 5'10" | SF Keyser | 2025 WV , Keyser, F, 5-9, Jr. – Kerchner helped blow North Marion away. Literally. Against the defending Class AAA state champions, the junior put up a double-double effort of 14 points and 11 boards. However, it wasn’t how she scored her points but when she scored her points that helped her team sink the Huskies’ championship repeat efforts. Kerchner broke a 16-all tie that sent the Golden Tornadoes on their way. The Huskies would not equal their opponents’ point total the rest of the evening. Later in the third period, Kerchner began a stretch that extended Keyser’s lead to 14 points. She hit a bucket from short range, then her team aided her the rest of the way. Kerchner showed what made her ready for the college level in many different aspects. She showed her great work ethic, she hit some shots from 15 feet, she caught the basketball in the high post and drove or posted up an opponent, and she showed that her confidence keeps growing every game.
Allie Daniels Allie Daniels 6'1" | PF Spring Valley | 2025 State WV , Spring Valley, PF, 6-2, Jr. – Daniels made a difference. Oh yes. Facing a team that beat her group on a buzzer beater earlier in the season, Allie made sure a last second shot wasn’t an option for St. Albans in the regional final. She scored 18 points, grabbed 22 rebounds, and blocked one shot as the Timberwolves blasted past St. Albans, 52-38. Daniels continued to show why she will be a valuable four at the next level in a multitude of ways against the Red Dragons. “She was the best player on the court,” according to head coach Bo Daniels. She showed off a nice 15-foot shot that SA had to respect all evening. She positioned herself well for many of her boards. Her footwork remained impeccable. She’s showed the ability and understanding on how to seal off a defender in the low post. Overall, the game film against the Red Dragons should be any part of any highlight reel she sends to a college.
Lexi Adams Lexi Adams 5'7" | PG Washington Patriots | 2025 State WV , Washington, PG, 5-7, Jr. – Adams did a little bit of everything. And, I mean everything. Faced with the possibility of a second straight trip to Charleston slipping away, Adams came alive. Fully alive. She tallied 26 points, 2 assists, 3 boards, 3 steals a block and she took a charge in the Patriots’ 70-53 win over Spring Mills. If her overall performance wasn’t enough, 15 of those points came in the second half as the Patriots finally pulled away from a Cardinals’ team with a new coach and new starting five. Adams took control in the period right after halftime. She got to the hoop and helped put the Patriots in front permanently. Adams has the drive where she can be a team’s engine night in and night out. College coaches can trust that Adams will make her mark on any game where she’s on the floor.
