Lead guard Dalia Roman was the reason for a huge comeback for Carbondale against Herrin. After a disappointing second quarter, where they were down 34-17, Roman got to work in the second half. With only two points in the first half she came out and scored 18 in the second. She was controlling the entire game. Going to the free throw line, hitting multiple three-point shots, and getting some good drive-and-kick opportunities. Being a sophomore, she’s still learning how to control the game at different spots of the game. She doesn’t always look to score and looks to have her teammates involved.

Even as a freshman, she understands body control, and how she can use her body to get to the basket. She also hit three free throws. She can only get better from now. Curry’s team trusts her with the ball in her hands. Against Freeburg she had 14 points. More of the same type of buckets. Getting to the basket, hitting creative layups.

Breanna Suits
Breanna Suits
Breanna Suits was the main guard for the very talented Goreville. They’ve been good all season and Suits is a big part of that. She has an inside-outside game. She can shoot the three ball and also go to the rim fearlessly. Her IQ is very on point. She broke down Edward County’s 2-3 zone, pretty effortlessly. She understands how to read the defense and when to give up the ball. She finished with 13 points, five rebounds, and six assists.
