3-Point Contest
The 3-point contest took place on day one and featured over half of all camp attendees. The rules were simple: Each participant had one-minute to make as many 3s as possible while shooting from any of the seven designated spots. After a great display of shooting, there were two participants — Nakia Mojica Nakia Mojica 5'6" | CG Hobbs | 2025 State NM , a 5’6″ junior from Hobbs, N.M. and Victoria Duran, a 5’6″ sophomore from El Paso, Texas — tied with 11 3PM. To settle the score, a tie-breaker round was implemented with each player once again getting one-minute to make as many as possible. Up first was Duran, who made eight giving her a total of 19 3PM. Mojica followed and knew she needed nine to win. Nakia went on to hit that exact number, ultimately giving her the win. Nakia finished with 20 total 3PM.
Winner: Nakia Mojica Nakia Mojica 5'6" | CG Hobbs | 2025 State NM
Mojica is a phenomenal three-point shooter with excellent mechanics. Nakia does a great job of keeping her hands ready in the shooting pocket, has a solid base and a quick release.
Runner Up: Victoria Duran
It was evident that Duran was in rhythm behind the arc. Victoria stays balanced, has good lift on her shot and holds her follow-thru.

Reyes, from DaVinci high school, was on fire from three-point range getting shots to drop with ease. The 5’8″ senior was great in DHO — dribble handoff — situations.
Medrano is deadly spot up shooter who is also capable of hitting 3s off the dribble. Kaylan, a 5’2″ sophomore, is from El Paso and attends Americas high school.
Vasquez is a 5’6″ senior from Alamogordo, that moves well without the ball and has little to no hesitation out on the perimeter.
Hargrove is a 5’6″ junior from Hobbs, that was tremendous in catch & shoot situations, especially from the corner and wing areas.
Fernandez, a 5’10” junior from Hanks high school in El Paso, is a versatile player that is comfortable taking and making three-pointers off the bounce.
