This upcoming weekend kicks off the first weekend that we are officially in a “live-period” for AAU basketball, where collegiate coaches from all Divisions can come to watch some competition on the road for the first time this Spring. In this article I cover a handful of prospects that will be on the road, doing their thing and leaving it all on the floor for potential recruiters to come see first-hand.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
On the road this weekend recruiters are going to be sitting down and watching a lot of action, live-and-in person. A prospect that they will be amazed by but they will NOT get a chance to recruiter is Nakia Ollivierre Nakia Ollivierre 5’9″ | PG Waterloo West | 2026 IA of Lady Pure Prep 16U because she is already committed to West Point for her collegiate career but that shouldn’t change the fact that she is going to have her full arsenal on display for all eye’s watching. Ollivierre is a special talent by every meaning of the term. She is an extremely athletic Guard, who can score at Will against any opponent. She displays a uniform shot, fundamentals, tenacity, and a hole lot of heart when she takes the floor. This weekend will be no different. She is going to come out of the gates doing her thing and I can’t wait to see what she puts together over her 3-4 games. I’m sure she will standout in more ways than one.
Highlights
This AAU season has been an intriguing one for Breckyn Schilling Breckyn Schilling 5’11” | SF North Mahaska | 2025 State IA and her 17U EYCL All Iowa Attack team. Schilling is an undiscovered talent in this state. She plays for a smaller high school program and she usually dominates in every game they play. So much so that at times she won’t even play the second half of a Varsity contest because of how much her team is up. Schilling has been somewhat “under-used” in my opinion so far with this group. They obviously have their players that have been in the program for a long time but if you use Schilling correctly, she is going to shine. No matter how you put it. She is going to be a STEAL out of the 2025 Class in Iowa. All it’s going to take is her to get a chance with someone who supports her. If she has that, she could even be better than expected in the future.

Marley O’Brien Marley O’Brien 5’7″ | SG Columbus Catholic | 2025 State IA has been a recruit that we have learned more and more about as the past year has gone on. O’Brien is a SG, that has solid size and ability when she steps on the hardwood. She can score from the wing spot, she can pass whenever she has the ball in her hands, and she can defend at a high rate. This weekend her Ball Stars 17U team will be competing in the USJN Windy City event, looking to make a statement. As long as O’Brien can stay confident throughout her contests and leave it all on the floor, I’m sure she is going to have a successful weekend as a whole. Something I’ve seen on multiple occasions this past year at the high school Varsity level with her Columbus Catholic High School program.
Bella Borgos is a flat out bucket. There is no other way to put it. She has a nasty handle with the basketball, while being an impressive scorer in the half court. I want to say that her best ability is shooting the ball but I think it’s more general than that. Like I said, she is a scorer. She can put the ball on the floor and create space in any given situation, she can find others with her vision in the full court, AND she can shoot the rock from deep at a high rate. This weekend she is going to have a chance to show some potential recruiters what she is all about. If she performs and looks like anything that she did during this past Winter, she is going to be receiving a lot of calls from the next level after this weekend comes to a close.
Capping off this article is a prospect that needs no introduction. What she brings to the court is truly next-level in a number of different ways. The individual that I’m speaking about is Divine Bourrage Divine Bourrage 6’0″ | CG Davenport North | 2025 State IA of Example Sports. This is a really important AAU season for the #4 ranked player in the nation out of the 2025 Class. She is headed into this Spring-live period with 35+ offers from Power-5 Schools all over the country. I have a feeling that she is going to be someone that everyone tries to stop by to see when they have time throughout their day. Not only is Bourrage on this Example team but so is another Top 50 rated recruit in the country for the same Class. As long as those two can keep things rolling, they are going to be getting a lot of love this weekend. They just have to play their game and the rest will be history.
