Continue ReadingEvery top team on a program needs at least one player who wants to impact the game every where else besides the scoring column. Donovan does just that. Defensively, her speed, focus and awareness allows her to be a pest in the back court. She has a knack of finding ways to get clean strips of the ball. High IQ matched with energy and a toughness that most guards shy away from tapping into.
Highlights
A player who can get it going from beyond the arc with just a couple shots. She has the length and frame of the new era guard, and can be effective from all angles and spots on the court. She can make plays with her length, can break a press with her speed and handle and also has the knowledge of when to make the best play for the team.

Since high school season has ended, Mackie has seemed to add another gear to her game. She’s quick and aware on the defensive end, which usually leads her to a fast break or opens up the floor for her to make plays in the open court. She can get to the rim with a simple but effective in and out or a hard cross. Every movement made allows her to excel downhill.

Layne has had multiple instances over the past couple weeks of showing how strong of a guard she is. Her game can fit into multiple systems, and her skillset will find a way to thrive. Here game has a poised aura to it, she never seems rushed to make a decision. She can apply pressure from both ends of the court, as well as “blend in” and make plays without the ball.
Highlights
The ability to shoot and get the ball off is a needed skill in college, and most programs wont budge. Fanta wont have that problem. The form is quick, it’s confident and the length she has will allow her to be a threat from a couple feet behind the arc. One of the players that might be in for a breakout AAU season.
