Had the pleasure of watching several 16u and 17u teams at this Prep Girls Hoops' event and was not disappointed with the competition.

As with most tournaments and events that I cover each spring and summer I end up with a collection of notes and tidbits at the end that don't typically make it into other articles. Below is my attempt at cleaning off my note pad of players, prospect, and/or things that impressed me enough to write them down.

At 9:05 I was watching Team Iowa Bluestar and liked several of the things that I was watching. At least one player stood out to me and that was Delainey Durr. In one sequence she had a very tough drive to the hoop, got absolutely hammered from my vantage point, and still had the ability for the And1. She also led her team in scoring for the game.

In another contest I took in a [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact'] 2026 club. In this one [player_tooltip player_id='747942' first='Josie' last='Piurkowski'], from Brookfield Central high School, was the leading scorer. But two of her teammates also impressed; [player_tooltip player_id='533070' first='Allison' last='Jirsa'], [player_tooltip player_id='842235' first='Mallory' last='Glysch']. Jirsa hales from Verona and in quick fashion she displayed a really strong drive with an up and under layup that had me clapping. Then Glysch, a Muskego HS product, had two plays one right after the other. She was able to battle for the rebound and then get a great bucket running the floor in transition.

As stated in another article a couple of prospects off of [program_tooltip program_id='712352' first='Air' last='Minnesota'] 2025 impressed me with their play: [player_tooltip player_id='676692' first='Allie' last='Zittel'] & [player_tooltip player_id='417303' first='Kaia' last='Kirkeby']. But the game was more than that. Very competitive and close right down to the end. [player_tooltip player_id='502566' first='Siri' last='Konkel'] from Spring Grove had impressive drives to the hoop and on one she had a tough And1. [player_tooltip player_id='453728' first='Ajiem' last='Agwa'], Austin Minnesota, had a sweeping drive left to right that had me taking notes down. Thought she also showed athleticism around the rim. [player_tooltip player_id='782556' first='Emerson' last='Ingvalson'], Spring Grove MN., was able to show me a strong post up spin move with solid foot work. Later she was comfortable with using her handles. I also took notes down a few times for Makyla McNeal who I felt had a solid overall game.

Illinois Evolution 2025 Teal ran into a buzz saw when they played Great Purpose. Even though the game got out of hand for them I was impressed with several things in the contest. They seemed to run a solid disciplined offense that wanted work on movement and pic-n-roll game. Molly Purse, 6'0"/W/ Glenbard South, was good in this area. Meaning she worked to get the screens going and then rolled to the hoop. Katie Bruhl & Sklyer Fieury also played well to get noticed and shouted out. We should probably check in on this team later in the spring/ summer, with their good pieces I would suspect that it will be an improved team.

Viewing [program_tooltip program_id='715788' first='Wisconsin' last='Truth'] 2025 I thought [player_tooltip player_id='777572' first='Gracie' last='Schmidt'] and Tariya Wright played well and together in their team's win.

Wisconsin Legend 2025 had a shooter named [player_tooltip player_id='448250' first='Gianna' last='Guarascio'], Ashwaubenon, that hit a beautiful baseline jumper. Then [player_tooltip player_id='448258' first='Payton' last='Morgan'], Laconia, was able to get to her spots and get her jumper off. On one it was right in front of me, a baseline shot that caught the bottom of the net; It was perfect form.

I was able to catch some of the [program_tooltip program_id='713145' first='Wisconsin' last='Blizzard'] 2025 game and jotted a note down for #33 [player_tooltip player_id='1135163' first='Lindsey' last='Weiler'] from SPASH.

As noted, Greater Purpose was stacked and played well. In this game I kept coming back to #5 Jacqueline Lukic, 5'9" G Loyola Academy, I thought she was superb in her pace and wiliness to make the pass.
