The Brookfield wing has been a player who can score with volume and can knock down shots from well beyond the three-point line. In her Purple Aces group, she has shown flashes of how efficent she can be as a secondary scorer. She has worked on her game and become more of a threat as a driver and mid-range scorer, especially with her floater. In any given game, Piurkowski could be the difference.

In her first season at Brookfield East, Piurkowski stepped into a much-needed secondary-scoring role and played the middle of the Spartans’ 2-3 zone. There were games where Piurkowski was unconscious on the offensive end of the floor and helped her team to win games or be competitive, and she got more physical under the basket in their 2-3 zone as the season went on. GLVC teams at the event should look at her, and any GLIAC coaches should.

In the Brookfield East guard/wings case, this may be as simple as her competing for a spot around the top of the Greater Metro Conference and a trip to the second weekend of the postseason. Piurkowski had a productive first season at Central, but since things were shaky there, she didn’t get the plaudits she probably deserved. However, her scoring paired with Maya Kovacic Maya Kovacic 5'8" | CG Brookfield East | 2026 State WI gives the Spartans an offensive that could be better than the teams that made back-to-back state tournaments. If the defense continues to be one of the elite units in the state at East, the Spartans could make another run.

A Brookfield East transfer, Piurkowski seems poised for a massive sophomore season with the Spartans. She’s shown she can make shots in bunches and learned how to be a creative kid from her experience at Brookfield Central last season. As a Spartan, Piurkowski will grow as a defender and be an excellent offensive pairing with Maya Kovacic Maya Kovacic 5'8" | CG Brookfield East | 2026 State WI , which could give the offensive punch they’ve been looking for since Annika Pluemer graduated in 2023. Piurkowski could be the breakout star of the season.
