Toliver showed her athleticism was strong on both ends and at 5’2, she also showed #sizedontmatter because she can play. She did a good job defending “on the ball” and her pressure helped to create turnovers. She showed both the pull-up jumper in the set as well as the “stop and pop” in transition. Her court vision was good, as was her ballhandling under pressure
Highlights
Gillam also used her athletic ability well on both ends and her applying “on the ball” heat off the top grabbed me. She also falls into that “never takes a play off” category and her attacking the basket strongly from multiple angles was nice, so was her hitting teammates in traffic from 20 feet on it. She did a good job of creating separation to get her shot off, she dropped it from mid to long range yet her “catch and shoot” with a hand in her face was also nice

Menefield is a “long and athletic” guard, hey that’s also the base and she used her length to not only alter shots but play the passing lane. She showed her athleticism after the steal by taking it to the rim to score or dish, she also used a nice first step to attack the basket and finish in the set. Her defense, baseline was solid, same way in the halfcourt but watching her elevate over the defenders and drop the jumper was nice, but her “catch and shoot” from BTA was even nicer
Pope showed one of the best first steps in her division and she used it to her advantage as she attacked the basket powerfully and finished strongly after contact. Her body control played a part in that but she’s also strong and contact was irrelevant. Her court vision also stood out as she threw pinpoint passes to her teammates to give them scoring opportunities plus her defense was also a big plus as she came away with steals and that helped change the momentum
Andrews gave me a little bit of everything in a short span of time as I arrived late to her court yet her playing the passing lane to a tee and flying past defenders to score or dish was enough yet it wasn’t as her court vision from 30 feet tickled me as the ball went by defenders like she did. She also showed she could knock down the jumper while being defended, her step back needs to be mentioned, and so does the “on the ball” pressure she applied
Frost stays cool under pressure, she and her ability to score in the flow is among the best because she definitely fills up the stat sheet and when you take a peak afterward, you just smile yet she has had me captivated with her game since I first caught her on the circuit. Her coolness under pressure and not only wanting the ball in crunch time but delivering has been a pleasure to see. Yeah, she used her athleticism on both ends and drooped bucket almost at will from mid to long-range but her “catch and shoot” looks even better
Zamorah Parker
Zamorah Parker
Parker wowed me when I saw her in the arena elevating to grab a rebound over a much taller player and I immediately wrote UPS. I was amazed at she was doing what she was doing at her size when I caught up with her to take a picture because she’s another “long and athletic” guard whose athleticism is on the verge of being ULTRA. She also has good timing to block shots, she handles the ball afterward, well also does that after playing te passing lane and she scored off the dribble, very nice body control on her finishes
