With college coaches from almost every major program in attendance, these ladies showed up and showed out, representing the Lone Star State in fine fashion:
Kaylie showed off shifty, shake and bake handles and tremendous grit. She competed at a high level, fought tooth and nail for possession and never caved under pressure. She was explosive off the dribble and dazzled with a crafty layup package. She constantly scanned the floor for open teammates and was dynamic on the drive and kick-out. Her energy was unmatched and though she pushed the pace, she didn’t get sloppy or out-of-control.
Bella Edwards Bella Edwards 5'9" Lubbock Titans | 2025 TX | Texas U
Bella scorched opponents from deep all weekend long, with a fire that no one could extinguish! She ran the floor hard and got to her spots quickly around the arc. A lightning quick release made defenders work overtime to try and successfully guard. They quickly learned that if you go under the screen when Bella has the ball, she is quickly going to make you pay! On defense, she was fearless when sacrificing her body and taking charges in the paint.
Kayla King Kayla King 5'10" | CG Judson | 2025 State TX | SA Finest
She brought the offensive firepower and was full throttle! With an effective use of the ball fake and strong takes to the hoop, Kayla dusted defenders and tallied points for her team. She absorbed contact remarkably well and got the and-1 several times against Team Curry. Her size played a big role in her ability to bully smaller defenders off the bounce, while her quickness made it easy to skate past bigs down low. A long and bouncy guard who never stopped moving (with or without the ball), she displayed a high motor and tireless energy throughout.
Bella Flemings Bella Flemings 6'0" | SG Brennan | 2026 State TX | SA Finest
One of the best 3-point shooters at Spooky, Bella lit it up from deep and made it rain down buckets! She is a super-skilled guard who puts the ball on the floor, maneuvers through the defense and finishes strong with either hand, absorbing a lot of contact in the process. Her basketball IQ is off-the-charts and she’s a player who can be trusted to deliver in clutch moments. On defense, she put a ton of pressure on the ball and used her size to contest at the rim. Bella proved to be a true match-up nightmare because of her size and speed combo.
Amari Byles Amari Byles 6'2" | SF Desoto | 2026 State TX | SA Finest
She’s quick, athletic, has enviable size and is a finisher! Amari’s ever-evolving skillset is equipped with strong post moves, knockdown mid-range jumpers and handles for days. Her defense is SCARY GOOD and she does a great job remaining vertical on shot rejections to avoid picking up fouls. Her versatility is nightmare fuel for opponents who can’t quite figure out how to successfully contain her. There’s only word to describe her: ELITE.
Leonna Sneed Leonna Sneed 5'6" | PG SA Wagner | 2025 State TX | SA Finest
A fearless guard who excelled on the drive and kick, her vision while drawing multiple defenders was top tier as she was able to fire off passes through the smallest of gaps. She has some razzle dazzle to her handles and that shiftiness created space for her to go to work, especially while setting up the half-court offense to execute set plays; defenders struggled to stay in front and keep up with her electric handling. LA was very committed on the defensive end as well, doing a solid job of heckling the ball-handler and being pesky.
