Throughout this week, I've gone back and checked out some of the games from last weekend with Wisconsin teams in them. Today, I want to talk about a few of the standouts in the games I've gone back and skimmed through.

[player_tooltip player_id='338941' first='Tess' last='Wiczek']

No matter when you see Wiczek play, a few things will stand out. Her ability to create for others off the dribble is one, and it helps that she plays for a program like [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact'], who emphasize its spacing principles. Whenever Wiczek attacks off the dribble, she has options on either side of her, and she usually gets to attack one-on-one to try and force someone to help off their original assignment to stop the ball so she can kick the ball out to open shooters. She's in the perfect spot to allow her to excel on the offensive end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='842218' first='Julieyn' last='Martin']

Since Hortonville hosted Neenah late in the high school season, Martin has been a kid I've been impressed with. She's been a tremendous 3&D kid for Hortonville, and she's playing that role with [program_tooltip program_id='713038' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'] alongside some excellent players. Martin has shown that she can reliably make open shots when the ball gets to her and has the competitiveness to defend some scholarship-level guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='329579' first='Haley' last='Reed']

The Freedom wing is returning from a knee injury, I believe, and looked solid in the stretches I watched her play with [program_tooltip program_id='713145' first='Wisconsin' last='Blizzard']. She dug in, battled for rebounds, and got physical with opposing guards trying to grab longer rebounds, and she looked comfortable attacking off the dribble. Both are good signs, given her extended absence due to an injury. I'd always known her as a kid who could shoot it well, and although she didn't shoot the ball in the short time I watched her, I thought she looked like the version of herself that I remember.

[player_tooltip player_id='767276' first='Elli' last='O'Keefe']

I think O'Keefe might be the best under-the-radar guard in the 2025 class. She had a standout season at Eau Claire North, and she's continued to play well with [program_tooltip program_id='713205' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers']. She's done everything you'd want a lead guard to do. O'Keefe can create off the dribble, get by her initial defender, and read defenses well. Over the last year, I've become a massive fan of her game and what she does with the ball. I'm not sure how much interest she has in playing basketball or what interest schools have in her, but she'll be a productive player.
