SISRUN Coming To Rhode Island

Greg has over 10 years of coaching experience and has curated a successful platform for young women to create a community and host quality runs. The pandemic left a void in the local New England hoop community and this was a perfect answer. The New England region and Boston specifically embraced the experience of providing a one-of-a-kind environment tailored for young women with open arms. SISRUN has collaborated with key women and important figures of the community which has helped foster the culture. The community and all the hands that have helped to contribute over the 5 years have played a role in making this a reality. The run is welcome to any girls in the area looking to play competitively and want to challenge themselves versus quality talent. The open run will be held in Johnston, Rhode Island and could potentially become a staple for some of the locals of Rhode Island if this is something the girls, parents or coaches are interested. Rivera showed us a plethora of moves and tough finishes that had her name ringing bells throughout the state. She has the 3-point shot, a midrange off the bounce and can finish with the best of them at the rim. Rivera is one of the toughest pound-for-pound players around and her competitive nature allows her game to ascend to another height. rnrnIt would only be right if the self-proclaimed 'Queen of the Bucket' show up to the runs after her legendary senior season performance for the Pawtucket girls. Ozturk had plenty of double-digit games this year by attacking the weak points of the defense and taking what is given to her. Ozturk rarely forces up a shot and she hits the open person without hesitation. A two-way player that Helin loves to attack downhill and get her defenders on their heels and in tough positions by having them react to her quick first step. Ozturk can press up on a ball-handler 90 feet from the basket creating havoc and turnovers which makes her a different caliber of point guard. rnrnHaving Helin join the run would be a good chance for others in the area to possibly get a look at her since she's from overseas. She would enhance the experience of the open run with her technical skills and ability to make others around her better. Lemay was one of the better players last year at Barrington by dominating with a balanced inside and outside game. Lemay transferred to Tilton and entered the talented NEPSAC pool to test her talents amongst some of the best in the nation. Lemay plays with the 2x Gatorade Player of the Year and was a perfect complement player to a star. She has a smooth pace and subtle tactics separate her from other wings. Lemay likes to get to her spots, but doesn't just rely on that to get a bucket. Lindsey uses her athleticism to get by slower defenders yet has the presence to affect the game when many get flustered by the pressure of the game. Overall Lemay is a solid prospect that will easily translate at the next level. rnrnLemay would be an excellent contributor to the run as a premier athletic wing who can do a little bit of everything on the floor. Her combination of offensive and defensive abilities would only enhance the level of play on the perimeter. A tough combo guard that has a tight handle, counter moves and smooth jumper from different ranges. Ariana had plenty of breakout games leading Winchendon this year as a junior with plenty of 20+ ppg and doing it in fashion. She can get very hot from the 3-point line, but the true mark of a scorer is getting to the free-throw line, something Ariana does well. Ingram was met with various defensive styles in NEPSAC due to her abilities and she adjusted successfully on the fly. Rarely do you see a scorer be just as dangerous in the half court as they are in the open court, but that is just what Ingram is. Ingram's game shines bright when she is on the floor and is very hardly dimmed. rnrnIngram would be a perfect fit for the runs bringing that star talent and crafty play. Ariana is good for a couple guaranteed highlights for sure. Kate is a beast on both ends of the floor and is a premier defensive anchor that alters many guard's shots. Opposing teams aim to shoot more perimeter shots when she is down low and she is cleaning up all the boards. Putnam funneled a lot of action towards Kate getting her to deter shots and get some extra possessions out of the game. She is almost guaranteed to get a block or deflection at some point, but what makes her even more special is she can be counted on to get a bucket down low as well. A very rare sight at someone her size to have such a soft touch and the footwork to play high and low post efficiently. Lipatova is hand down one of the best bigs around and has the ability to add so much more to her game. rnrnHaving such a force in the post would bring that high level college atmosphere because Kate is what each and every player who will play at the scholarship level will have to face. Kate mirrors some of the better bigs to have come from the New England area with tough play and good judgment, but brings the overseas flare that can't just be replicated.
