A year after suffering an ACL injury that put her on the shelf for the entire off-season, Taylee came back with a vengeance with her best year to date, a junior season that saw her dominate every Player of the Year award in her district and now the people have spoken. Taylee is the 2023-24 Prep Girls Hoops Ohio Readers Choice Player of the Year.rnrnShe received an astonishing 77% of the votes that readers all across Ohio submitted among the nine nominees up for voting. Springboro junior [player_tooltip player_id='319321' first='Bryn' last='Martin'] was the runner-up while Purcell Marian Dee Alexander was third in fan voting, [player_tooltip player_id='217339' first='Corri' last='Vermilya'] fourth and Urbana 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='319068' first='Peyton' last='Mounce'] and Alter 2025 Maddie Moody were tied for fifth.rnrnTaylee is the epitome of a true point guard, with amazing handles and the ability to change the pace of the game at the drop of a dime. Speaking of dime dropping, she also has an incredible court sense and the ability to find the open player for the easier shot.rnrnWoodbury led Mississinawa Valley to the regionals this season averaging 17 points per game with 7 assists. She is a smooth defender, can stop and pressure you into mistakes and push in transition to dish or finish.rnrnShe is also currently ranked in the PGH top 20 for the 2025 class and her season has opened the eyes of coaches at the next level. Some coaches won't recruit the small guards, to that I say it would be much better to have her leading your team than trying to play against her.rnrnShe isn't flashy, unless she needs to be. But she is effective. She makes her teammates better, as many of her teammates had their best years thanks to the direction of Woodbury. Taylee returns in 2024-25 on a mission to take her team to the next level. She will play this summer with Always 100 out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.rnrnTaylee was conference Player of the Year, District 9 and Southwest District Player of the Year, along with PGH Division 4 first-team all-Ohio and OPSWA Division 4 first-team all-Ohio.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-660dddd826ea8"} /-->
