Taressa Hennes Taressa Hennes 6'0" | SF Hartford Union | 2027 State WI
Hennes plays for Playground Elite’s 2027 team, and I’m incredibly high on her moving forward. She’s among the most athletic kids in Wisconsin and surrounding states. I’ve seen her do some stuff for fun that 99.99% of kids couldn’t do if they worked at it for years. Skill-wise, she’s come a long way in the past year and has become a reliable threat for Hartford. Hennes was a prominent figure in the Orioles’ run to the state tournament this season. Her ability to cut and defend were significant factors in Hartford breaking games open, and she’s a talented enough defender that her coaches trusted her to guard the best player in the state at the Resch Center as a freshman. She’s got a chance to be an elite player.
I love watching Vogler play because of how smoothly she plays the game. She never seems out of control and finds the weak spots in the defense when she has the ball in her hands. She can score the ball from anywhere on the floor, and even though she may not have gotten to show the volume the 2027 can score at Sun Prairie East, she has that knack of scoring in her. Playing at her age level with Let it Rain will allow her to excel and probably dominate a few games. D2s haven’t typically been around many 15u games, but there will be some D1s who check in on her at the various live periods she’ll play at this spring and summer.
A mid-season transfer quieted down her impressive start at Beaver Dam in the late fall and early winter. However, there were signs that she turned a corner as a player. She was arguably the Golden Beavers’ most productive player before transferring to Notre Dame for the 2nd semester, and I’m eager to see how she plays with her 2026 group for Purple Aces . She’s always been lengthy, defended, and rebounded at a solid level, but her shooting seemed to come around in a big way at the end of 2023. If she keeps shooting how she has been, some D2s will take her name down.
Rowan Counsell Rowan Counsell 5'5" | CG Whitefish Bay | 2027 State WI
Counsell came into her own as a scorer in her freshman campaign at Whitefish Bay. She can turn a game on its head because of how well she can score in bunches. She’s a 2027 playing up at the 16U level, so she’ll probably pop onto the radars over the summer, and even if there isn’t any public offer extended, people will know her name by July if they don’t already. Her ability to create something for herself or her teammates, play next to other ball-dominant guards, and find different ways to help her team win will intrigue coaches at the next level.
