I love Taressa’s intensity! Her enthusiasm is contagious, and it’s shown in all areas of her game! Love how easy she makes it look going to the basket from the top of the key! Solid from 3 point land, and she finishes so effectively! Terrific handles and defender! (Below on right)

One of the most athletic players in the state – really, really, really athletic!! – Hennes is an explosive 6-foot wing with highlight-reel hops and game-changing length. She’s an elite leaper who can swat shots like few others. When she elevates for her mid-range jump shot, Taressa is basically unstoppable. Her first step? Special. Now adding polish to her game, Hennes has elite-level raw material that could turn into a shiny gemstone. Ranked 14th in PGH Wisconsin’s 2027 class, she possesses physical tools that are extrmely rare and highly valued.

The athletic tools that Hennes are too much to deny. The Oriole has plenty of refining she could do on the offensive end of the floor. However, there are things Hennes can do on the defensive end that few others in the state have the physical capability of doing. She’s gotten called for goaltending if that tells you how athletic she is. I thought she did an excellent job scoring around the basket this past summer with her Playground Elite group, and her scoring down there could translate at the high school level with the amount of shooting Hartford has at its disposal.

Athletically, Hennes is one of the most athletic kids you’ll find in Wisconsin. There are plays she can make defensively that few others can. Hennes was as raw as anyone coming into high school, but the tools were so evident that you expected some elite moments from her, and those came more frequently as the year went on. That includes a goaltend called on her early in the season and asked to defend one of the best scorers the state has seen on the biggest stage in high school basketball. She’s come a long way since last August, and she’s still improving.

is the #3 rated prospect in Wisconsin for the 2027 Class and I understand why after this weekend. Hennes has great size at 6’0 but she also moves like a guard at times. So much so that her team will even run sets for her to attack off the dribble from the perimeter, usually getting a bucket to go once she gets downhill in the half court. Not to mention, she also has the ability to step up on the block and dominate with her length at any given moment. On the defensive side of the ball, she is someone that her opponents need to worry about once they beat their matchup off the dribble because Hennes can get a lot of blocks in a short amount of time with her mixture of size, athletic ability, and discipline. This 2027
Wisconsin Playground Elite
club had a great weekend as a team playing up an age level. If most of their prospects stick with it, they will have a bright future on the hardwood, especially Hennes.

Taressa is a very intriguing young forward who is a real problem around the basket. She was all over the boards Saturday, and she uses her height and immense length to get her hands on nearly every carom that ricochets off the backboard. She has speed and quickness in transition, and she often beats her matchup down the floor. Additionally, she has great hands, the ability to put it on the floor a bit, and I think she should continue to transition to the wing full-time rather seamlessly.

Her ability to cut and defend were significant factors in Hartford breaking games open, and she’s a talented enough defender that her coaches trusted her to guard the best player in the state at the Resch Center as a freshman. She’s got a chance to be an elite player. – Brady Peterson
