Looking back over the past month, here are a handful of standouts in the 16U division who are deserving of some praise. Here are some May standouts from the 2026, 2027, and 2028 classes.

She has a promising future ahead of her, already showing she can compete at the 16U level with NW Greyhounds. They play an uptempo style meant to speed up offenses and Fialho is exactly the kind of player who can help establish a fast pace. She's aggressive on the ball, is quick and long, and works her tail off defensively resulting in lots of steals and deflections. Offensively, she shows a lot of potential around the hoop and handling the ball. Fialho is definitely a player to keep tabs on who will suit up with Lake Washington next winter.

Here's another high-energy player who sets a high pace for NW Greyhounds. Anderson constantly harasses ballhandlers. She has quick feet, active hands, and makes a real impact at the top of their zone. She keeps a high pace on the other side of the ball too, looking to push the ball up the court with her speed and long passes, and has shown she can consistently get into the paint and make things happen. She catches ready to go, has good change of direction, and looks to have a pretty good stroke out to 3-point.

Boeck has looked really strong with Tree of Hope's 16U team. She looks confident but plays within herself. She makes quick decisions, can shoot well enough to draw out defenders, and also has the ability to attack off the bounce and work to different areas. She plays with good balance and is able to use some good footwork to slow down, change direction on drives, and find space at the rim.

Reynolds is a guard/wing who has shown pretty good touch with her shot. She can hit the midrange at a good clip and can stretch it out to 3-point range. With her size and ability to hit shots, she has a pretty intriguing profile and has also shown some good footwork on the perimeter and off the catch to create space for jumpers.

Capelli has shown off a pretty well-rounded game this spring. She has good size, is pretty athletic, and has the desire to get involved in every way she can. She's just an intuitive player who looks to make the right play. Whether that's making a tough rebound and looking up the floor for long, quick outlets, running the floor hard to get on the end of breaks, or playing sound team defense, she contributes across the board. She's also someone who can make plays off the bounce in the half-court, both dishing and scoring the rock.

The sophomore point guard is one of the quicker players I've seen this spring and she does a nice job setting up her defender by switching up speeds and staying north and south. She has a tendency to draw a lot of fouls because she is constantly looking to penetrate the defense and has a pretty good eye for gaps to drive. She also goes to the hoop strong and plays into contact well.

A long guard with an attacking mindset, Johnson is a downhill playmaker who can beat defenders 1v1 along the arc and quickly burst through lanes to the hoop. She's got long strides but she also plays on balance which helps her cover ground and change direction quickly. Johnson's also shown some good patience at times, stopping in the paint and using her pivot to look for shots or passes back outside. Overall, she plays with endless energy and brings that engine to both sides of the floor.
