12 15U teams composed of players from Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas hit the Edmond, Oklahoma, courts of Solid Rock and the H.I.V.E. for the Battle In The Big Friendly. Starting with a game Friday night and continuing through Sunday afternoon the teams played four games. With the dust settled on the event it is time to finally share the players selected event all-tournament teams. I collaborated with my Oklahoma based Prep Girls Hoops/Prep Hoops colleagues Johnny Vick and Sam Duran in scouting the 15U event. We have broken out all-tournament recognition by pools since each of us saw different batches of teams. Following on the heals of the all-event Pool B First Team are the Second Team and Honorable Mention selections

McKinlee Brown, 6'2", PF, Captain Shreve (LA), PrimeTyme Family 2027 - At 6'2″ Brown is hard not to notice. I liked her length and competitiveness on the boards on both ends of the floor. She was primarily impactful on the defensive end. While I would have liked to seen her work defending in the post in other positions than from behind she did show an ability to alter and block shots without fouling.

[player_tooltip player_id='899336' first='Makambri' last='Hastings'], 5'7", PG, Salina Central (KS), Lady PGU 2027, 2027 - Hastings is a smart player who contributes a variety of abilities to her team. A good free throw shooter who also knocked down shots in the mid-range and from beyond the arc. While she lacks natural speed and quickness she makes up for it with smarts and creativity.

Whitlee Keith, CG, Webb City (MO), MO Legacy 2027, 2027 - Good use of ball fakes to get a step or create space to get off a jumper. Heady defensively. Gets to the middle of floor off outlets to lead breaks.

[player_tooltip player_id='751176' first='Anabelle' last='Miller'], 5'10", SF, Pond Creek-Hunter (OK), [program_tooltip program_id='715652' first='Enid' last='Lady Elite'] 2027 - Johnny - A great size post with strong finish moves around the basket. Scored on several nice over the shoulder moves in the low post A great rebounder doing the work before the ball came of the rim to secure the ball. Defensively rotated and help the guards on the drives making it hard to other teams to shoot layups. The soft shot off the glass and high scoring percentage in the paint helped her standout.

[player_tooltip player_id='895921' first='Aspen' last='Thomas'], 5'4", CG, Timberlake (OK), [program_tooltip program_id='715652' first='Enid' last='Lady Elite'] 2028, 2028 - Do not judge Thomas on her small stature. She is a physical point guard with the handles to not just clear the ball out of trouble but also to create in the half court. Late in a very competitive game she showed poise in knocking down a pair of needed free throws.

Raquel Beal, 5'4", PG, Edison (OK), Oklahoma Youth Group 2027, 2028

Ja'Kira Vaughn, 5'5", SG, Broken Arrow (OK), Oklahoma Youth Group 2027, 2027
