Below is a list that is intended to be fun and a different way to look at some of the players I witnessed.

The Best Performance:

[player_tooltip player_id='828946' first='Kenly' last='Frey'] | 5'5" | 2025 | PG | Wisconsin Lutheran | [program_tooltip program_id='715707' first='Chapman' last='Basketball South']

For my money Kenly played very well and put in one of the best performances while I was watching her play. She was always trying to make the high IQ play. Her pace of play was elevated and often better than her opponents. Playing the point guard slot mostly, she attacked the hoop a lot, with a quickness and tenacity. Then balanced that approach with a confident outside shot that had nice form to it. Then, she did what point guards are supposed to do in making her teammates better by setting them up with solid passing skills.

The Best Guards at Turning Defense Into Offense:

[player_tooltip player_id='914999' first='Destiny' last='Weaver'] - Taccarrii Hicks - HCL EYBL 2027

Saturday morning I saw a great game from this team and these two guards. They were everywhere and it was fun to watch. They were scoring every which way one could think of. But the most impressive thing was the high-pressure defense with either causing turnovers or slick steels multiple times. Then taking that defensive stop and quickly transitioning it into the break with ease. Taccarrii might have scored more if I looked at the book, but Destiny was not far behind. Plus it was her unselfish passing that spark my interest in the contest.

The Best Most Cohesive Guards

Midwest Elite Meanstreets 2025 EYBL brought a few guards that I thought stood out and played pretty well. Their offensive game was mostly quick up tempo and attacking the hoop hard. I noticed felt that when they had too, they would pop the 3, but concentrated on ball movement and getting teammates set up. It seemed to me that all three could play either guard spot and the team would not miss a beat.

Cyra Comwell - Butler IL / Danyella Mporokoso - Waubonsie IL / Kamrah Banks - Crispus Attucks

The Best at Style of Play:

[player_tooltip player_id='874375' first='Aubryn' last='Clark'] | 5'8" | W | 2027 | Rhinelander | [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] National

This prospect did a superb job in the game and half that I was able to catch of her games. She was in the right spots, tried to be around the ball, hustled, be a good teammate, and offensive & defensive contributor. Might not have been the best player I watched, but if you had a team of players that played like this prospect you are going to win some ball games. She was Ms Do Everything for her club.

Best Game Out of a Youngster:

Briele Balts | 5'4" | CG | 2029 | Rice Lake | Midwest Magic 2029

Caught one of her games on Saturday and she was a terror to the opponent. She was everywhere, first, hitting outside jumpers with regular flare. Next, I saw her take all 5'4" of herself and post her defender up. Thought she left it all out on the floor and I was impressed with the game she had. Energy & being a good teammate!

Best Big:

I have to admit I only saw one game of this prospect so I maybe I shouldn't acclaim her as definitively as the best big, but she was really good. Meanstreets' #15 Londyn Sommerville a 2027 out of Peoria Richwoods IL was everything you might want in a big. Solid enough footwork, work hard inside the arc, grabbed boards, and did not back down from a challenge.

Best at Leaving It All On The Court:

[player_tooltip player_id='885644' first='Brianna' last='Anderson'] | 6'1" | W | 2025 | Marquette MI | [program_tooltip program_id='715386' first='Great' last='Northern Elite']

When I say left it all out there on the court you should've seen her after the game. She looked tired, had to have her thumb & wrist taped and you could just see the effort that was put forth. During the contest, she was doing a lot to help her team. She was both an inside force and an outside threat, where at times she was handling the rock with ease. I thought she was athletic and moved with confidence. For good portions of the game, she spent it at the free throw line because the opponent was committing a lot of fouls on her.
