There may be one or two more updates before they move on to the next phase of their lives, but we start the rankings update with the incoming seniors today with a top-ten and next-ten article.

Since Welson got to Hortonville in 2021, she's been among the most feared scorers in the state, and she's only improved since that year. She's also provided some moments people will remember like her 41-point outburst to beat Neenah in their 2023 Sectional Semifinal to send the Polar Bears to the state tournament. She's a quietly competitive kid who'll be willing to defend the other team's best player if she has to while providing a scoring threat few in the state's history can match. Welson will finish her career next season at Hortonville and head to College Park, Maryland, to continue her journey playing for the Terrapins.

There isn't a player I've ever met, whether it's doing this, meeting various athletes at the University of Kentucky, or when I was younger as competitive as [player_tooltip player_id='374229' first='Amy' last='Terrian']. When she sets a goal, she's the kind of player who'll do just anything it takes to reach those goals, and that mindset, among other reasons, was a significant reason why the Pewaukee Pirates won their first State Title last March. She's one of the best shooters this state has produced and loves setting her teammates to succeed. Every coach wishes they had a player like Terrian in their program and a person like her in their community. After her final year at Pewaukee next season, [player_tooltip player_id='374229' first='Amy' last='Terrian'] will head across Lake Michigan and dawn the Green and White of Michigan State University.

Hartford had been a program that had seen its ups and downs the past few seasons but found their groove halfway through this season behind elite-level play from [player_tooltip player_id='338945' first='Makena' last='Christian']. The forward found a way to utilize her skill set around an extremely young team and was the focal point of one of the best team offenses we saw in the state last season. Nobody has the inside-out threat she boasts by shooting 40% from the three-point line and overpowering opposing post players under the basket. After the Orioles push for another trip to the state tournament and an outright North Shore title, Christian will head west and play for fellow Wisconsin Dawn Plitzuweit at the Univeristy of Minnesota.

Arguably the player who improved the most over the past three years, [player_tooltip player_id='448243' first='Katelyn' last='McGinnis'] turned herself into one of the top prospects in her class. The Papermaker earned interest and offers from high-major programs in the region. After a standout summer of 2023, she continued that play in this past high school season. McGinnis was the premier threat on a young Kimberly team that had some unfortunate injury luck late in the season but was a team who could've made a run to state and will be in the mix in a gauntlet of a sectional next year, partly because they have a kid like McGinnis on their roster. She's a relentless worker, obsessed with getting better, and she'll keep getting better after her high school career in Nashville, Tennessee, playing for the Belmont Bruins.

I haven't seen someone play with a motor like Glass-Barnes. She flies all over the floor and makes plays that few others will. At 5-9, she may be the best rebounder in the state because her motor forces her to play every minute like it's the last one she'll play. Over the past three years, her perimeter game has slowly improved and has become something teams must prepare for. If they don't respect her perimeter game, she can beat teams from out there, unlike her younger years at Racine Prairie. Glass-Barnes is the only uncommitted player in the top five but will likely end up at a program in a high-level conference.

Since her freshman campaign at Waukesha West, you could tell her ability to space the floor would be elite, and it got better than anyone could've imagined. The Wolverine has become a kid you must pick up at halfcourt because she'll shoot from the volleyball line and hit nothing but the net. Her ability to create off the dribble has improved over the past few years, and she's been trusted to make plays with the ball over the past few years and got more comfortable as the years went on. The Waukesha native will head to Normal, Illinois, after her high school career and play for the Illinois State Redbirds.

When it comes to centers, Merow is as talented as any of them. She's got the size, at 6-2, likes to play physically around the basket, has a motor, and can finish with both hands around the basket. The Port Washington native hasn't been in a place to dominate with a team like everyone else in the top ten, but you won't find the physical tools and skill set in any other player in this class in Wisconsin. Merow is uncommitted as of writing this article.

Only three players made over 100 three-pointers in the 2023-24 high school season. Those three were [player_tooltip player_id='189502' first='Allie' last='Ziebell'], [player_tooltip player_id='374229' first='Amy' last='Terrian'], and [player_tooltip player_id='338940' first='Kristina' last='Ouimette']. I'd argue those three are the most dangerous perimeter threats, and Ouimette doesn't get her shots like the others. Ziebell and Terrian have a balance of creating off the dribble, running off screens, and catch-and-shoot opportunities. At Lakeland, there wasn't another threat on the perimeter, so all the defensive attention went to her, and it didn't matter. Her length allowed her to take shots that few could imagine, and she made them routinely. After committing to Lehigh University to play with her sister in Pennsylvania, Kristina flipped to UW-Green Bay to play with her sister after Julianna transferred to play for new Phoenix coach Kayla Karius.

A part of a highly successful high school program, Musial has been the two-way wing Notre Dame has needed. The 5-11 lefty has added defensive versatility for the Tritons and has been a kid they could rely on to score the ball in different ways when they needed to put points on the board. Musial could also be the focal point for the Tritons as the class of 2024 heads off to the next level. We may see a version of her in her senior season we haven't seen before. Musial will broaden her horizons in 2025 and head south to play in Birmingham, Alabama, for the UAB Blazers.

Over the last three years, Fitzgibbon has been one of the most consistent offensive forces in the 25 class. She's the leader of a class for Homestead, who led the Highlanders to their first North Shore title for the first time in a long time and won conference POY as a freshman in the 2021-22 season. Her ability to shoot and score at the high school level is on par with anyone in this class. Fitzgibbon will take a half-hour trip down I-43 to play for the University of Milwaukee Panthers at the next level.
