To close out the 2025 rankings update, content-wise, I want to talk about some kids whose recruitment I'm most intrigued by over the next handful of months. I'm not 100% sure if all these kids will want to play basketball at the next level, but if they do, I'll be curious what interest they garner.

[player_tooltip player_id='465922' first='Megan' last='Geason']

A trend for a few of these players will be that they're returning from injury. Geason has been sidelined with a knee injury for months but recently announced via her Twitter account that she's cleared to return to live action. The 5-10 wing from Oak Creek was among some of the most athletic kids in her class, and when she played up for [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact'] in some lower pools, her athleticism shined among everyone else on the floor. She caught some coaches' eyes in July last season and is arguably the most intriguing 25s on the board.

[player_tooltip player_id='528123' first='Makenzie' last='Hawk']

Different things go into what makes a prospect more desirable by college coaches. However, one that stands above most is their physical tools. Some kids are skilled enough to play scholarship-level basketball, but they don't have the size, athleticism, or strength to guard stronger players. Hawk has all the physical tools coaches would like. The Sun Prairie native has the size, physicality, and motor that coaches would see some value in her. She's gotten some looks from smaller schools in the region. Hawk's got the tools to be a productive player.

[player_tooltip player_id='329595' first='Ella' last='Francois']

The West De Pere guard has been out for nearly a year with a knee injury, but her return is imminent. Francois, to me, has always been an odd kid to project for a few reasons. For one, she and [player_tooltip player_id='448251' first='Faith' last='Walder'] have played together for their entire lives, so neither has ever needed to be the primary initiator until Walder had to be that player for West De Pere this past season. The other reason is Francois may be the most physically ready guard you'll see and can cut through traffic like a hot knife through butter, but the rising senior is a 5'5 or 5'6 guard. I've been a massive fan of hers since I first saw her between her first and second years, but once she plays, I wouldn't be surprised to see some regional D2s taking a long look at her.

[player_tooltip player_id='374235' first='Maddy' last='Jensen']

The last kid returning from injury, who I liked at the Pewaukee Fall League, is [player_tooltip player_id='374235' first='Maddy' last='Jensen']. Outside of being a kid who can create off the dribble and has the poise of a kid who knows she can do anything she wants with the ball in her hands, she was a good teammate. She wanted her teammates to succeed, and when I saw her on the bench, she was still fully engaged in what her five teammates were doing each time down the floor. Small things like that matter to coaches at the next level, and even though I don't know Jensen personally, you can tell her teammates like having her around.

[player_tooltip player_id='375953' first='Aubrey' last='Leonard']

Guards who can close out games, take care of the ball, and make the correct reads with the ball in their hands will have options to play at the next level. In Leonard's case, she may not be the most explosive guard in the state or be the best scoring guard in the state, but what she does well will get her on the floor at the next level. The Laconia guard is the all-time leader in assists in program history and has helped her team reach three straight state title games and won the last two in D4. She's got an extensive list of accolades personally and with her Laconia team over the past three years, and she's a significant reason why they've been as good as they've been.

[player_tooltip player_id='401056' first='Ella' last='Hamacher']

The Stoughton native is a kid who hasn't gotten to show who she is as a player at Stoughton due to the defensive attention she demands. Over the spring, she's shown a willingness to take perimeter jumpers and make them in bunches at times. She's always been a kid who's gotten downhill and finished around the basket, but I've liked her all-around offensive game.

[player_tooltip player_id='653806' first='Rayna' last='Welsch']

I've always liked Welsch's touch around the rim with both hands, but she put everything together at Eau Claire Memorial this season. There's an argument that Welsch was the best back-to-the-basket post in the state, and she had the performances against talented bigs to back that statement up. From countless double-doubles to a 30-point-19-rebound performance against River Falls, she's more than good enough to play in college if she wants to, but the 5-10 or 5-11 size may be a hurdle, but she's been excellent.

[player_tooltip player_id='891021' first='Rachel' last='Agg']

There aren't many 6'0 wings who can shoot the ball like Agg. I remember seeing her make two or three three-pointers in Iowa a few years ago when she was with Chapman South, and since then, I've believed that she could play at the college level if she wanted. She's always been this versatile four who can defend a few possessions and space the floor on offense. Regional Schools should look at her if they have time to watch a [program_tooltip program_id='713344' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'] game.

[player_tooltip player_id='767276' first='Elli' last='O'Keefe']

As time goes on, I like O'Keefe more and more. She's turned into a high-usage kid at Eau Claire North and has been tremendous in that role. She was near the top of the scoring ladder in the Big Rivers and kept her Huskie team competitive in games they probably didn't belong in, and she elevates the level of her team when she's on the floor. I've talked about her over the past few months, but she's a kid who'll help someone at the next level. She's that good and improving.

To close out the 2025 rankings update, content-wise, I want to talk about some kids whose recruitment I'm most intrigued by over the next handful of months. I'm not 100% sure if all these kids will want to play basketball at the next level, but if they do, I'll be curious what interest they garner.
