DeSouze is a shifty and quick guard, that has the ball on a string when she is coming down the floor or running her team's offense in the half-court. She demonstrated during each contest that she is a handful to defend in 1v1 situations and that's just the beginning of it. She has a nasty cross over, great counter moves, and her touch on the basketball when she is getting to the rim is next level in every way imaginable. I had the chance to sit down and watch DeSouze's 2025 3SSB team compete twice over the past few days and both times, she had moments that made me audibly out loud say u0022wowu0022. She showed that she can do everything asked of her at a high rate and she leads by example. Two things that you need out of your starting PG if you want to be successful against any competition you might face. I'm not sure which colleges have interest in her at this point but I would be shocked if she doesn't have a ton of D1 offers at this point. She was fantastic as a prospect this weekend and I hope that she rides that momentum moving into the future.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["309979"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Like I said prior to this weekend's set of games, I've heard and seen a lot of stuff on social media about [player_tooltip player_id='309979' first='McKenzie' last='Mathurin'] but seeing it up close was impressive to say the least. Mathurin checks out A LOT of boxes that will translate to the college level once her high school career comes to an end. She is smooth in her movements, athletic in every way imaginable, she understands and knows situational basketball, she is great at spacing the floor, and she can shoot the lights out of the gym. These are all things that are going to get her to see the floor once she gets to Nebraska's campus after her last year of high school ball. This weekend her team dominated in basically every game they played and she was one of the top players on her squad, if not thee top player on her squad. Which says everything you need to know because her squad is full of D1 prospects, who will be competing at that level in one way or another at the end of the day.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["881001"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Someone that many might not expect to make this list is guard, Jakayla Davis of [program_tooltip program_id='712692' first='Missouri' last='Flight'] 2026. Davis is someone else that I would consider the real deal. She is a smooth operator with the ball in her hands offensively, she can score from all three levels in the blink of an eye, she is selfless in her play-style, and she works relentlessly on both sides of the basketball. Not to mention that she rebounds hard and she comes up with a ton of tips/deflections because of her combination of active hands and feet. I saw Davis compete multiple times this weekend. When I first sat down to watch her on Saturday I knew she had it together as a well-rounded prospect but wasn't sure if she was just having a solid game. When I watched her again on Sunday morning, she blew me out of the water with her effort and production. Something you can't fake is production and Davis produces no matter the situation. If she continues to ball like this into the future, I'll be intrigued into seeing where she ends up to compete at the collegiate level.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["578026"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='578026' first='Johari' last='Hall'] is the most hard-nosed prospect that I may have seen over the past few days out on the floor. Hall is someone that is almost impossible to stop once she gets down hill. She has great size at 6'0, she is agile in her movements, she is crafty if she is ever cut off while going towards the rim, and she is a handful to deal with when she is in her zone. Defensively, I would say that she is just as good and productive. She can wall up against taller players and consistently get stops, she can switch onto a smaller guard and stick in front of them on the perimeter, and she communicates really well in all screening situations. Everyone who made this All-Tournament team are prospects that can compete at a high level but Hall may turn out to be the best at the end of the day. She reminds me of a future SEC player with how hard she competes, mixed with her skill-set. If this weekend was any indication of what she can do, she is going to be someone we hear quite a bit about in the future from a national standpoint.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["904761"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Another extremely dominant post prospect, that showed out at a high rate this weekend was Jehsa Opoku-Athena of the [program_tooltip program_id='712694' first='Missouri' last='Phenom']. Jehsa is an individual that has an experienced and seasoned Post game. She is physical, she knows her spacing and balance to a T, and she is someone that understands her role within her program. To start off the weekend, I saw her compete on Saturday morning and she made everything look so easy. She was killing her opponents with a nasty drop step, she was cutting to the open space near the hoop in transition, and she was doing her work early on in a possession coming down the floor. There were not many other players that stood out like Jehsa did over these past few days. Each game she showed that she was the most dominant big on the floor and it wasn't even close. If she continues to expand her game and be herself, this sport is going to take her places. There is no doubt about that.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-664150120948c"} /-->
