Lucy Young
Lucy Young
Young is one of the more exciting post players in the class of 2028. The first thing that stood out when watching her film was her ease of movement. She wasn’t awkward like many young post players. Instead, Young shows soft feet, the ability to finish with creativity and a nice little 2 dribble drive from the wing. She’s not a good rebounder because she’s tall, but instead a good rebounder that happens to be tall. Young has a nose for the ball and goes after it. She picks up a good amount of put back buckets off the offensive glass.
Kinley Regnery
Kinley Regnery
Rignery is actually playing up, but you’d never know if you weren’t told. She is, and is going to continue to be, an absolute matchup nightmare. Rignery is the dictionary definition of positionless basketball. Not just offensively. She can also defend everywhere on the floor. Rignery is a dangerous shooter both off the catch and the bounce. Give her space and she will pull up and bury a jumper. She has the ability to shoot over the top of closing out defenders. Rignery reads the ball off the rim and has a very quick put back that’s tough for defenders to challenge.
Logyn Hill
Logyn Hill
Hill is a rising star at the point guard position and a player to watch as she enters high school ball. She’s a high basketball IQ player that seems to have a natural feel for the flow of the game. Hill is a multifaced lead guard that can distribute at a high level and also score when the opportunity presents itself. Let’s start with her passing. She sees the floor well and takes her time to let the action play out and hit her teammate with accuracy. Now her ability to score. Hill can get buckets in transition, beating the defense back. She’s a tremendous 3 point shooter that buries them at a very high percentage.
