Throughout the day I saw several interesting prospects play their hearts out and leave it all on the hardwood. While this was happening, I was taking some quick notes about what I was seeing, live-in-action. Below I highlight six individuals and briefly describe what I saw out on the floor in their specific contests.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

#44 - [player_tooltip player_id='515492' first='Alaina' last='Vargas'] - 2025 - 5'7 - SG - [program_tooltip program_id='715556' first='Illinois' last='Dream'] 2025-1 (IL)

"Vargas understands how to play the game the right way. Offensively, she just hit a deep three behind the arc with another right before halftime sounded. Defensively, she is talking at a high rate & jumping to her spots or help side whenever she can. She has also been someone that has gotten on the floor for loose balls more than most. She hustles and seems to leave it all on the court whenever she competes."

#13 - [player_tooltip player_id='616776' first='Joslynn' last='James'] - 2027 - 5'5 - PG - [program_tooltip program_id='834910' first='Example' last='Sports'] 2027 UAA (IL)

"James is a guard with situational awareness, vision, and the ability to lead by example. She can get down the floor in a hurry to beat her matchup in transition or she can slow things down while running her teams offense. She handles pressure extremely well and she plays much bigger than her actual size. [program_tooltip program_id='712375' first='All' last='in'] all, seems like a winner in my book from seeing her compete in a few contests today."

#0 - Cameron Turner - 2025 - X - CG - [program_tooltip program_id='834910' first='Example' last='Sports'] 2025 Black (IL)

"She is quick off the dribble, getting to her spots in a hurry. She has shown the ability to score from all three levels offensively, while being athletic enough to matchup with most on the defensive side. She displays spurts of extreme athleticism as well."

#15 - [player_tooltip player_id='879582' first='Londyn' last='Sommerville'] - 2027 - 6'1 - Midwest Elite Meanstreets 2027 EYBL (IL)

"Londyn has been showing off her versatility during her 10:10 contest. She is a strong post standing at 6'1 with a soft touch on the basketball and good balance near the hoop. She can finish through contact and she demonstrates solid footwork in most situations. If teams decide to double her, she can usually score over both or she can pass out to an open teammate."

#2 - [player_tooltip player_id='839317' first='Maddie' last='Poole'] - 2027 - 5'4 - CG - [program_tooltip program_id='887289' first='CC' last='Cougars'] 2025 (MD)

"A prospect playing up two grade levels and holding her own at an impressive rate. Someone that can score, distribute, and defend her own position to a T. She doesn't seem to force much action but instead she lets the game come to her in the grand scheme of things. If I didn't mention it, you'd never know that Poole was competing up two grade levels, which is pretty impressive from an outside perceptive."

#14 - [player_tooltip player_id='867871' first='Amiyah' last='Gulley'] - 2028 - 5'7 - PG - Midwest Elite Meanstreets 2027 EYBL (IL)

"Gulley has always been impressive while having the ball on a string as a guard and that didn't change for this tournament. Instead, she thrived on Saturday against some very good competition. She was making plays in the open court out of thin air off the bounce, she was hitting her teammates in stride for some assists, and she was never stopped offensively by her matchups. If anything, she stopped herself at times, making some quick decisions but thats what these tournaments are all about. Working on your game and becoming the best version of yourself. Overtime she will have to adapt and become a little more consistent but as of right now, she is on a great path to an impressive future on the hardwood."
