This past weekend we had several of AAU teams on the road to continue on their journeys this AAU season. In the article below, we highlight five prospects that did a great job of showing out in their own special ways throughout the past few days, while helping their teams compete each contest.

[player_tooltip player_id='882862' first='Alivia' last='Kuhn'] is going to be someone that we hear about more this next month with our Player Rankings Update in the 2028 Class. Kuhn is a 5'8-5'9 Combo Guard, that just put together a really nice weekend together with her 16U Nebraska Hoops [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last=''] team on the road. Kuhn is someone that has a lot of raw ability on the basketball from what I've seen up until this point. She is someone that is deceiving in her production. You might not think it but she can record a double-double by halftime if you don't pay attention to her. She can score from all three levels, always taking what the defense is giving her, while being a fundamental defender on that side of the ball. I had a chance to see her compete first hand a few months ago and she was impressive for her grade level. I'm glad to hear that she is carrying on that momentum into her current Spring/Summer campaign.

In half of [player_tooltip player_id='766881' first='Emma' last='Vander Platts'] contests this past weekend, she was her team's leading scorer, while also registering some positive stats in the Rebounds, Steals, and Assists categories. This production is nothing new for Vander Platts. She always seems to be a main piece of her team's puzzle, helping in anyway that she possibly can and that wasn't any different this weekend. For example, one contest she had 11 points and another she had 10. Making her offensive mark on that side of the floor each game. In the end, Vander Platts should get a chance to play collegiate ball if she wants too. She just needs to find the right system that plays to her strengths.

[player_tooltip player_id='502101' first='Madden' last='Wilson'] had another standout weekend with her [program_tooltip program_id='715980' first='Team' last='Iowa'] BlueStar 16U team this past weekend and she is carrying that momentum into summer ball at Xavier High School. Wilson is a highly rated prospect out of the 2026 Class and she has been playing like it as of late. Wilson is someone that I've mentioned a number of times because of her ability to lead. She has shown that she can make things happen when the shot clock is running down or when her team's offense breakdown. Defensively, she is a work horse. Someone that can cause turnovers and chaos throughout a contest because of her persistence. I'm expecting a big Winter out of Wilson for her Junior Season with the Saints. She has all the intangibles, now she just needs to keep on making it happen.

When the 2027 Rankings come out these next few weeks, [player_tooltip player_id='736457' first='Olivia' last='Brown'] is going to be someone that has a high rating because of her knowledge of the game, mixed with her natural ability. This past weekend, Brown and her [program_tooltip program_id='712711' first='Nebraska' last='Lasers'] team went 3-1 out of their 4 games, finishing off their Spring AAU season on a positive note moving into June. Brown is extremely dedicated. Her and her family come from all the way on the west side of the state of Nebraska to compete with her Lasers teams. They travel countless hours to demonstrates for others that she can compete against a high level of competition, anywhere throughout the country. As a Freshman, Brown helped Bridgeport to a very successful season and I'm expecting a lot more to follow that up this upcoming season.

I have a feeling that [player_tooltip player_id='592198' first='Dreya' last='Kern'] is going to have a year to remember, at every level. Kern is another guard that competes with [program_tooltip program_id='715980' first='Team' last='Iowa'] BlueStar 16U and she has put together a productive AAU season up until this point. She is coming off of a weekend when she was listed as a Top USJN performer for her Class. Kern is crafty with her best basketball in front of her. Last Winter for her Linn-Mar High School team, she made her mark in everyone of their contests. She is a main part of their offensive/defensive game plan and that's not going to change moving into her Junior Season so we will see.
