With the ball in her hands, she can make plays off the inbound or in the half-court. In a college program, I can see her excelling in a catch-and-shoot role simply because she's able to make plays off the catch just as well as score. There isn't a shot that she's not willing to take, and she has the range to make the deep ones. Knowing when to shoot those types of shots is part of a player's IQ, and she has that as well. Her outside shooting ability is one of her key traits that I believe can be a focal point for her recruitment. Whether it's off the catch, stand still, or a specific play that's drawn up, Scott can knock it down. The other thing that stands out the most is her motor and hustle. Newton has the ability to be a knockdown shooter for a program. She moves well without the ball and doesn't seem to hesitate on her decision to shoot if the ball is swung to her.
