[player_tooltip player_id='874384' first='Keira' last='Van Wie'] was a prospect this past weekend that showed off her potential while competing. Van Wie plays up a grade level and starts for her [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] 2027 National team. This weekend she demonstrated that she is a strong rebounder who jumps to the ball on both ends, she can guard a handful of different positions, she can shoot the basketball at a high rate from the perimeter, and she can make others around her better. As long as she continues to work on her game and grind in the offseason, she is going to be a promising prospect over her high school career.

This was my first weekend seeing [player_tooltip player_id='448322' first='Torie' last='Neubauer'] compete live and she did a great job of standing out in each one of her contests. Neubauer is a prospect that has quality size and she has quick reactions on both sides of the ball. She stands at 6'0 but it seems like she has longer arms and a great first step to recover toward the ball if need be. She is a top rated prospect out of the 2025 Class in Wisconsin and she competed like it during her last weekend of the 2024 Spring AAU season.

[player_tooltip player_id='874715' first='Sophie' last='Miller'] of [program_tooltip program_id='886048' first='Wisconsin' last='Hoops Select'] 2027 did a good job this weekend of moving and producing without the ball. 95% of the game is played when you don't have the ball in your hands at the college level so you have to move into favorable positions and do other things off of the ball. Miller held her own in those departments this weekend. She screened away, she moved into open space to help her chances on the offensive end, and she did a good job of staying in front of her opponent while playing sound defense.

The [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] had a great weekend as a whole program at this event in Appleton. One of their main contributors at the 2026 level was [player_tooltip player_id='842209' first='Aspen' last='Abel']. Abel is a 5'11 Small Forward that has guard like qualities. Watching some of her game tape in the past and seeing her this weekend, it's pretty obvious that she gets a lot of her buckets while going to the hoop off of the dribble. She is someone that she change direction in a heart beat when she is cut off or she can line up a shot from deep and knock it down. Defensively, she is just as productive. She can defend her size and a little bit bigger or smaller. All just depends what her team needs at that time.
