Throughout the day I saw several interesting prospects play their hearts out and leave it all on the hardwood. While this was happening, I was taking some quick notes about what I was seeing, live-in-action. Below I highlight five individuals and briefly describe what I saw out on the floor in their specific contests.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

#22 - [player_tooltip player_id='874375' first='Aubryn' last='Clark'] - 2027 - 5'8 - SG/CG - [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] 2027 National

“A prospect with good size, athletic ability, & good shot form. She understands when she should shoot the ball compared to driving it for a take to the rim. Her adaptability is something to note as she can switch up what she is doing in the blink of an eye to become successful on the hardwood on both offense and defense."

#22 - [player_tooltip player_id='877515' first='Samantha' last='Veldkamp'] - 2027 - 6'1 - PF/SF - [program_tooltip program_id='713145' first='Wisconsin' last='Blizzard'] 2027 Hawley

“Veldkamp is someone with great size for her age and she is currently working on becoming a scoring threat from all three offensive levels. She demonstrated today that she can use her size to create on the inside or she is willing to screen and pop for a three point attempt if her defender sags off. Defensively, she is just as prominent. She can make a difference by walling up and guarding a bigger matchup or she can stick with a smaller guard, really depends what her team needs from her in that moment.”

#23 - Vonna Shill - 2028 - X - CG - Legends U 2028 NEXXT

“A guard with passion, tenacity, & a whole lot of heart. Shill is a someone with strong post moves, she can step up and bang a three pointer, or she can pass to open teammates ahead. If she has a prospect that is her size guarding her, she will immediately post them up with a powerful move with her back to the basket. If not, she can step out and play from the outside as well. All in all, did a little bit of everything today.”

#15 - [player_tooltip player_id='874402' first='Josey' last='Shaw'] - 2029 - 5'2 - PG - [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] 2029 National

“Shaw is all business. She may be someone out of the 2029 Class but she communicates like a Varsity basketball player and moves like it too. You can tell that most of the time, her team is at its best when she is in control of their offense with the ball in her hands. She still has years to go until high school ball but if she works on the correct stuff moving forward, she could be a killer.”

#5 - [player_tooltip player_id='751285' first='Taressa' last='Hennes'] - 2027 - 6'0 - CG/SF - WI Playground Elite 2027 Purple

“Someone with great size, who is very athletic and able when it comes to basketball. She is an individual that can dominate the post with her presence or she can take her defender off the dribble with her long and crafty footwork. Her team even seems to run some plays where she is the primary ball handler for those sets. Defensively, she is someone who could be a big time shot-blocker down the line at some point. She just needs to pick her spots wisely & she is going to thrive moving forward.”
