June 14th-15th I attended the annual Section-7 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ. I watched as many Arizona teams as I could over the two days, as there were around 40 teams who represented the prestigious event.

Here were some of the under the radar players I watched in the senior class

[player_tooltip player_id='558947' first='Maci' last='Hess'] Perry (Pictured)

A highly skilled bigger wing forward. The taller lefty can hit the three off the catch and pull-up from mid-range. She has a polished, steady game and has a sudden jumper as a middy magician. She plays the game the right way, takes good shots, rebounds in her area and will have a big year for the Pumas.

[player_tooltip player_id='582392' first='Rylie' last='Llyods'] Phoenix Country Day

A scoring guard is a catch and shoot three point gunner. She has a pretty release and runs well in transition to score on layups. She smartly moves without the ball and will fire away. When she is clicking from deep, they are a very tough cover to defend in 2A.

[player_tooltip player_id='602889' first='Tilley' last='Cummard'] Mesa

A wing forward is a Swiss Army knife. She does a little bit of everything and has toughness. She handles it well, shoots it from the perimeter and will defend multiple positions. She can get to the basket off the dribble and finish in the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id='558904' first='Nevaeh' last='Urenda'] Flowing Wells

A thicker downhill scoring point guard with a tight handle in heavy traffic. She can crossover her opponent and get by. She sees the court well and will throw the dime up the court. She is a physical rebounder and has a super quick release off the dribble to hit the three. She definitely turned some heads and is a clear stock riser.

[player_tooltip player_id='558905' first='Allison' last='Even'] Salpointe Catholic

A fluid wing forward can rattle in threes off the dribble. She uses her longer arms to play the passing lanes and will defend. She rebounds well and is a sneaky good passer. She is a perfect compliment to the big three on the team.

[player_tooltip player_id='924662' first='Lelaura' last='Yazzie'] Page

A good sized point guard shoots the three off the catch. She is a good passer with a high feel for the game. She moves the ball to the open player and thinks the game from the neck up. She may be a breakout candidate for the 3A Conference and they will be tough to beat again in the 3A North.
