Barreling ahead with looks at changes in 2025 rankings update, which was released last week, comes part two of who is new to the list. Part one shared information on the 'first' seven additions. Continuing with the bottom up approach comes the rest of the 14 new additions, the 'second' seven. The list is lead by standouts from 4A and 5A teams.

#57 [player_tooltip player_id='906563' first='Kylee' last='Comstock'], 5'11", C, Fort Scott - Comstock was a major contributor to the Tigers' run to the 2024 4A state tournament. Her play found her being selected to the Southeast Kansas League second team and the honorable mention lists for KBCA, KSHSAA and Sports In Kansas. She is a center with a good build who is still filling her frame. She already is a problem with how strongly she calls for the ball where she wants to catch it out of her block game. With decent athleticism she scores well around rim with either hand and has a good interior jumper. Comstock keeps her rebounded balls up high and hustles with solid speed in the transition game.

#63 [player_tooltip player_id='910353' first='Ashley' last='Ianello'], 5'6", SG, St. James Academy - Ianello is very game savvy player who is a dangerous shooter. She understands the game well, plays within herself and works hard to be a strong all-around player. Not just a shooter she looks for her teammates well and is a capable transition scorer. On the other side of the ball she is very good in trapping situations, is a aggressive defender and reads offensive plays to get herself in the good positions to make or even prevent plays.

#102 [player_tooltip player_id='918823' first='Madison' last='Mann'], 5'5", PG, Blue Valley Southwest - I have been watching for Mann ever since former teammate Abby Augustine told me about her nearly two years ago. And after enduring some brutal years in the win-loss column she emerged as a substantial piece of the Timberwolves' drive to the 5A state tournament. Following the season she picked up honorable mention honors for the second time in the tough Eastern Kansas League. She also was named to Sports In Kansas' 5A list as well. A very good perimeter shooter who does a pair of things really well on her shot, shoot it quickly and with no wasted movement.

#105 [player_tooltip player_id='918820' first='Ashlyn' last='Kuhlman'], 5'11", SG, Louisburg - The Louisburg big guard is a prolific three point shooter who spots well and shoots it with a quick release. She has jump shooting ability and scores it well off the dribble for a mid-range jumper. Her size and length are put to good use defensively too. She changes ends with solid speed and shot blocks with good timing. A 2024 Frontier League honorable mention selection Kuhlman also was name to the Sports In Kansas' list.

#106 [player_tooltip player_id='884294' first='Lily' last='Unruh'], 5'7", CG, Blue Valley Southwest - Unruh had a strong season in 2024 and was a big part of the Timberwolves' drive to the 5A state tournament. In a quarterfinal loss to a very strong Andover team she finished with 17 points and 3 rebounds. Her end of season averages were 11.5 points, 2.7 steals, and 2.3 rebounds. For her play Unruh made the brutal Eastern Kansas League honorable mention list for the second time. She also made the same lists for KBCA and KSHSAA. Unruh is impactful on both sides of the ball. She is a good half court defender with active hands. Offensively she has a nice jumper and finishes with either hand against challengers and even contact. While she has a tendency to force play in traffic too much Unruh has solid speed and good transition vision with the ball.

#107 [player_tooltip player_id='904759' first='Megan' last='Darensbourg'], 5'6", PG, Blue Valley Northwest - My colleague Jeremy Brooks got a great look at Darensbourg at the PGH's KC Clash a month ago. He liked her craftiness and ability, despite being heavy to one side over the other, to attack and finish on both sides of the basket. He also liked her lateral quicks and "knowledge of where to step up to get a stop on the defensive end of the basketball."

#140 [player_tooltip player_id='874326' first='Brooke' last='Bryan'], 5'11", SF, Olathe South - A returning starting from the 2024 state tournament team Bryan is a high potential talent. Currently her offensive game is a step ahead of her defensive. She scores the challenged layup well and with elevation. But with improved strength and a step up in quickness could make that her strong suit because she competes hard and uses her length to good effect to challenge shots. Bryan has only started to tap her potential.
