3A Players to Watch

Last year Garfield defeated Mead to claim their second state title in a row. She has great length and utilizes it well when going by defenders or going up for rebounds. She is skilled with the ball in her hands, moving quick like a guard and out-matching the opposing players. Wells-Morrison knows how to utilize her length and long reach, disrupting pass lanes often with no problems. She can get her buckets from all 3 levels. Being able to finish through traffic in the paint, stop at a dime to sink a mid-range bucket, or pull up from beyond the arc and knock down the shot. She finds her teammates well and knows how to fit in perfectly to the talent around her. She can guard all 5 positions on defense, play all 5 positions on offense, and do both at a very elite level. She has one of the highest ceilings by any player in the state and is poised for a huge future. She has insanely high IQ and phenomenal vision, always seeing her open teammates and ALWAYS being unselfish as a teammate.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
