Class of 2027 Excels at The Mitten Summer Showdown – Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Mitten Summer Showdown, held at Morey Courts in Mount Pleasant this past weekend, was the place to be for college coaches to watch some of Michigan's finest 2027's showcase their skills. There were plenty of Division 2, 3, NAIA, and Juco coaches in attendance to witness those skills. She plays with a lot of energy, especially in fast break situations, and she's able to score even when facing tough defense. She's a smart player with great defensive instincts, often making steals. She is a poised point guard with exceptional ball-handling skills that allow her to handle pressure effectively. She excelled in creating scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates, demonstrating her ability to hit a step-back 3-pointer, execute a step-through move at the rim, and run the pick-and-roll effectively. Despite being short a couple of players on her team, she remained unfazed. She aggressively attacked the hoop and finished effectively with both hands. Additionally, she demonstrated high-level rebounding from her guard position. Over the summer, she has ramped up her defensive intensity and is now able to effectively guard the other teams' top guards. She excels with the ball in her hands and is also effective playing off the ball, ready to knock down a shot.
