As we start the quote “off season” for basketball (technically true hoopers ball year round), offers are starting to fly in left and right for a lot of Tennessee girls. From D1s all the way to JUCO, kids near and far are hearing from schools interested in their talents. This is an exciting time of the year where girls are feeling the love and seeing the fruits of their hard work paying off. Just like you, I am taking it all in and enjoying watching our girls receive such opportunities.

Even though offers come in at whatever rate (technically it's out of our hands), we here at PGH Tennessee want to recognize some young ladies who are getting some love. Who cares what level and I will let them share who is after them. Just know that whatever school is offering them, it certainly done due to a job well done. They have performed, worked hard, and helped raise the standard of basketball around this state.

Anyways, enough rambling, here are just a few young ladies who have seen an offer or two fly their way here recently. (Please understand, there are plenty of other girls who have received interest as well. These are just a small few from our crop of student athletes).

[player_tooltip player_id='409093' first='Callie' last='Reeder'] (5'11/Sr./PF/ Pickett Co.)- A solid inside/ out player who finds the bottom of the net at a consistent clip. She can shoot it from the outside, but around the mid range and block areas is where she excels. Heavy on the boards on both ends, difficult to score on, this kid is a solid two way player who packs a powerful punch. A lunch pail kind of girl, she brings it every time she steps onto the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='506239' first='Meredith' last='Warner'] (5'9/Sr./ G/ Page)- Don't let the infectious smile fool you, Meredith is a tough competitor. Will do whatever it takes to win, you name it, she goes out and gives it her hall. A sharpshooter from the arc, it's nothing but net as this girl unleashes from deep. Will sit down and defend, contribute in other statistical categories, this kid is a hard worker who does whatever it takes to get the job done.

Ava Arnett (5'11/ Sr./ F/ Pineville (KY))- Technically not from the state, but she reps the name across her chest. This kid is a go-getter and can shoot lights out from multiple spots on the floor. She's active on the defensive end, but her game translates to the offensive side as well. A heady basketball player who uses her speed and quickness to exploit weaknesses in the D. If you leave her open, she will sink the open shot without hesitating. This kid plays hard every second on the floor and she will leave every ounce of energy she has on it. Solid kid with a bright future.

[player_tooltip player_id='804334' first='Gibson' last='Boykin'] (5'8/Sr./G/ Jackson Christian)- Talented basketball player who is a tough competitor. Has a quick first step that enables her to attack gaps in the D. Possesses a quick trigger from the perimeter, unleashing a pretty follow through as the ball swishes through the net. Locks up on the defensive end. Runs the floor well. Can play with the ball in her hands or off the ball. This kid has many great qualities about her. What I love most about her is she is a fearless competitor that isn't afraid to win every possession on either side of the ball. Solid player who is fun to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='409632' first='Hilary' last='Shikuku'] (5'9/Sr./F/ Collierville)- One of the most underrated players in the state, she is a relentless worker who competes on both ends of the floor. A dual sport athlete, this kid is about speed, speed, and more speed. A heady ball player who has a knack for being around the ball. She can score it on all 3 levels, but it's what she does when the ball is not in her hands that sets her apart from others. She rebounds well, pushes the tempo, from passing the rock to defending, she's going to give it all she's got. A solid kid who plays the game with an unbelievable motor. Talk about someone who can change the course of a game, this kid is that plus so much more.
