I want to shift some attention to the Northern part of the state. Once you get past Eau Claire, Green Bay, or Stevens Point, there's not much up there. There are solid towns up north, beautiful scenic locations, and things to see. However, the rest of the state doesn't pay much attention to it. There are plenty of talented kids up there that people don't see often during the high school season because of where they are, so I want to highlight a handful today. We'll stick to the non-power four-bound players and kids already committed for this today.

The top of the 2027 class has a handful of talented guards. A few are very animated on the floor, but Clark is not one of those players. She's as stoic as they come and can do anything you'd want a lead guard to do on the floor. The Rhinelander guard came into high school physically ready to play against kids up to three years older than her, and she never seemed to get too high or low on the floor. Clark seems to have the mindset you'd want from a lead guard and all the skills to go with it. People may not see her often because she plays in North Central Wisconsin, but she's one of the best kids in her class and will be a scholarship-level player at the next level.

The 6'2 forward from Rice Lake has an abundance of physical tools. She's got the size and strength, moves well, and has the motor to chase after loose balls. She's one of the hardest-working frontcourt players I've seen. She's willing to rebound outside her area, and her second effort sets her apart from other post players. Her offensive arsenal is coming around, but she's been willing to expand and try some things others may not be comfortable with, and she got better over the summer with [program_tooltip program_id='713332' first='Team' last='Wisconsin']. Each time I see her play, I like her more.

[player_tooltip player_id='915001' first='Jillian' last='Kunert']

The Northwestern forward has as much length as anyone in her class, and she does an excellent job at using it. She rebounds well because she can highpoint the ball off the rim and grab it before anyone else gets a chance, and she has enough touch to finish over others around the basket and can play through some contact. Kunert has all the physical tools a young forward could ask for and has shown plenty of promise over the past 12 months.

[player_tooltip player_id='914997' first='Maddison' last='Dalrymple']

The Winter Forward is one I hope to see in person at some point because she has an intriguing skillset. Dalrymple was a 2nd-team all-conference performer in the Lakeland-East Conference and led the conference in rebounding as a first-year player. She has good footwork when she gets into the paint, has a solid spin move around the basket, and finishes strong off two feet. She's also a solid free-throw shooter, which indicates that she has excellent touch, which I figured she did from some of the videos I've seen of her. Of all the kids I've seen or know of in 2027, she's the one
