Freshman Watchlist

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There was a wave of transfers and incoming freshmen entering the city league that you should look at and will give you a show for the next 4 years. Check out who is coming in with elite playmaking ability, shooting and has lockdown defense. We missed a few but check out who we did catch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1003150' first='Queen' last='Chalmers']- Queen, a lockdown defender can play both ends of the floor. Improving her 3-ball shot by the day, she finishes however she wants and gets wherever she wants to on the court by night. Queen can pass and she seems to read the play before it even happens. Queen has a bright future on the court and is a true PG in the making. Queen will be suiting up for Southeast high school this school season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='995689' first='Tyleeah' last='Lucas']- 'Tink' is one of the best scorers in the city when she plays off the ball. She has a deep range from the 3-point line and a smooth form that will go a long way with her longevity. She has really good footwork and can create space to get her shot off. If you aren't careful she can go off for 30 in a heartbeat scoring in transition or in a halfcourt set. Tink will be suiting up for East high school this school season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='779208' first='Zoey' last='Buckner-Franklin'] - Zoey is one of the most electrifying guards the city has ever seen. The lefty guard doesn't move like your typical player, her craftiness is second to none at the rim or away from it. She has a really quick shot that makes it impossible to contest. With her strength, she does a good job of using her physicality against good defenders and making everyone play at her pace. The guard has elite hesitations that can keep you dancing all game. Zoey is lacing up for Kapaun high school this school season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='885517' first='Siaunna' last='Carter']- Siaunna is a great asset to any team with her size and skillset especially for teams that like to play small ball. Shes strong enough to keep bigger post out of the paint but skilled and agile enough to play the perimeter as a guard. Shes really good at playing off 2 feet and has a soft touch that often gets her that shooters roll on her jumpers. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='995680' first='Alex' last='Dinsmore']- Alex has started to make some noise lately with her play in the biggest games. She has all the tools to be something special, with her ability to shoot the ball, post up, her wingspan, long strides and running ability she creates a lot of mismatches.
