2025 keeps it live! This class has been very fun covering. Entering their senior year, there are still plenty of young ladies who haven't signed on the dotted line yet. Nothing to fret about, a few head scratchers as I too am wondering what coaches are looking at. However, this class is pretty good and by the end of the year, there will be a plethora of girls playing ball at the next level.

Within the 2025 class I will say there are some girls who are late bloomers. It's not their fault. It's almost like they fall in line on being tweeners. A lot of schools have a type and this class has a lot of versatile girls who can do this and that. For example, a school needs a knock down shooter. Yet, in our class, we have a girl who can shoot the 3, but her best attribute may be putting the ball on the floor and getting a bucket. So, she falls in the tweener category in yes she can do this, but she can also do that.

In my opinion, if you are talented enough, a college coach will find you. It may not be your first or second choice, the school of your dreams, but a school will come and provide that opportunity for you. You just have to trust the process, keep working hard, be open , and enjoy the ride.

Here are just a few young ladies from the 2025 class who are still unsigned, but will be highly sought after by the end of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='631095' first='Dacarra' last='Ward'] (6'2/C/ Bartlett)- Her recruitment is heating up with plenty of mid-majors knocking at the door. Baby D has nice footwork around the rim on the offensive end. A nice back to the basket game where she unleashes a nice drop step. Defensively she is big on the boards, launching herself after the ball hits the rim to grab it. Has shot making ability, communicates well, makes it tough for opponents to operate down low. A solid kid who will be a nice addition to whatever program she chooses.

[player_tooltip player_id='810517' first='Maddy' last='Merritt'] (5'10/G/ Lipscomb Academy)- Shooting guard who has a nice stroke from the field. She can shoot it from beyond the arc or come off screens and pull up. Will use her length to work the lower block areas, taking advantage of mismatches. She has great size and length, but I feel she is often overlooked. She has all the intangibles and contributes in multiple statistical columns. She can score it, rebound, assist, and defend. A solid prospect who leaves everything she has on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='409632' first='Hilary' last='Shikuku'] (5'9/G/ Collierville)- A really versatile dual sport/ two way player who just gets the job done. She can score it from all 3 levels, but it's her speed that makes her stand out the most. She anticipates well, which she always seems to find herself in position to get offside rebounds. Has a great feel for the game, understands when to cut or stay wide to receive a pass. The little things that can't really be coached are what she does best. Most importantly, she is a lockdown defender. Whatever program gets this kid is getting a steal. She is an under the radar prospect, but whoever gets her will be getting a gem.

[player_tooltip player_id='506234' first='Leilani' last='Washington'] (5'8/CG/ Nolensville)- A swiss-army knife, this kid is a tough competitor that can do all things. Push the ball in transition to score downhill, hit the opponent teammates, pull it from 3, defend the full length of the floor, rebound, block shots, the list goes on. A very talented kid who plays with a lot of heart and passion and it just exudes within her ball club. She too is also flying under the radar as she can do so many things and isn't a one trick pony. This kid is phenomenal and whoever gets her at the next level will be getting a steal for sure.

[player_tooltip player_id='506248' first='Molly' last='Brown'] (5'8/CG/ Lincoln Co.)- Nicknamed Sticky, this girl can be a defensive juggernaut. She makes it difficult for opponents to get into their offensive sets. Working guards the full length of the floor, it's turn, turn, gotcha. Next thing you know she's heading the other way with the ball. A multi-level scoring threat, Molly picks her spots to exploit. A solid teammate who delivers passes on time and right in her teammates shooting pockets. Love her energy and style of play and she too will be an asset for a program at the next level.

These are just a few kids within the state who have yet to be signed. At the time of this writing, I know schools out there who are contacting kids at this very moment. If you are a senior and the phone hasn't rung yet, keep working hard and trusting the process. Coaches are still looking and they will find you. 2025 class, gear up for one more solid last right. We look forward to covering you all this upcoming year!
