[player_tooltip player_id='757558' first='Halle' last='Dolliver'] had to end her AAU Summer season short due to injury but that doesn't change the fact that she comes in as our #1 prospect out of the 2026 Class in Nebraska. Dolliver not only has size at 5'10, athleticism, and a whole lot of skill, she also has an extremely high motor. The type of motor that you don't see too often in an athlete from this age level that is still in high school. I'm not sure when Dolliver is set to return for this upcoming high school year but I'm sure she will return before the basketball season comes to an end. If she takes her time in her return and she comes back with vengeance on her mind, then everyone else better watch out because she might take things to a whole other level before she ends up graduating Malcolm High School.

The next most impressive athlete that the state of Nebraska has to offer out of the 2026 Class is [player_tooltip player_id='747368' first='Kylee' last='Paben'] from Millard West High School and [program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack'] AAU. Paben is a 6'1 Forward, with size, physicality, touch, balanced coordination, and great footwork. Not to mention, she is also very intelligent when it comes to angles, her duties on the floor, and knowing where she excels against her competition. Offensively, she can handle her own in middle or she can step up for a screen-and-pop play in the midrange with her picture perfect shot form. Defensively, she is productive and versatile. She is very good at protecting the middle but at the same time, she can switch if need be to someone smaller and do a good job of staying in front of them. I'll tell you now, if Paben has a sensational start to her Junior season and Dolliver in the #1 spot stays on sidelines due to injury, it is going to be a tough debate moving into our next Update in December. That's for sure.

[player_tooltip player_id='756006' first='Ani' last='Leu'] of Lincoln North Star High School took an unofficial visit to the University of Omaha last week and I heard it went really well. Leu has emerged as one of the state's premier PG's from her 2026 Class. This is someone that has great size for the PG position at 6'0, she has a better than average handle that can manage when the defense is bringing mass amount of pressure, she is good at creating and facilitating for others in the full-court, and she possesses high mental IQ. The only knock I've had for Leu is the changing of her speeds while competing but that's just a minor detail. At this point in her career, she has a few collegiate offers now and I'm sure that stack is only going to get better moving into this Winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='747374' first='Izzie' last='Galligan'] of Millard North High School recently received her first D1 offer this past few months and she is looking to build on that with the Mustangs this upcoming high school season. Galligan has been a killer on most courts she competes on. She is a prospect at the SG position that possesses a quick and efficient trigger from deep, she can handle the rock, she passes just as well as she scores it herself, and she can be moved around at the guard position while yielding positive results, no matter where she is placed by her coaching staff. Galligan is going to end up as a collegiate player by the time she is a Senior but to which level? I'm not sure. She might end up liking some high-end D2 programs instead of going D1 but we will just have to wait and see.

When you consider that Millard North has the #4 and #5 rated recruits out of the 2026 Class in Nebraska, then you notice the schedule that they have to play and you realize that they could put together a Winter to remember if they go about it the right way. The #5 ranked prospect that I am talking about is CG, [player_tooltip player_id='758887' first='Clara' last='Welker']. Welker is another guard on this team with a lot of skill in a versatile way. She can be put at the 2 spot as her team's SG or she can move to the 3-guard and play that combo position. If not and her team is playing undersized, she can move to the 4 and be your SF as well. It really just depends. No matter where she is at though, she does a great job of holding her own and doing her best to produce in every which way.
