<p>The Wichita I-35 Showcase was a sold out event attended by coaches from the JUCO, NAIA and Division II ranks. It attracted talents from six states who were divided into eight teams. After working through drills the first hour the teams competed in three scrimmages over the final three hours. Below are several defenders who caused havok in the full and half court. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='773188' first='Nya' last='Anderson'], 5'5", CG, Bonner Springs, 2026 - Anderson showed quickness and headiness hawking ball handlers full court. She also stood out as a perimeter shooter by knocking down three point shots all over the perimeter, challenged and not. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='899475' first='Stella' last='Sacks'], 5'4", CG, St. Paul Catholic School, 2029 - Sacks closed ground quickly closing out and did a solid job cutting cutters. Very heady in a variety of half court situations. Only smarter, shifty ball handlers could shake her.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='932968' first='Brooke' last='Steven'], 5'6", PG, Bishop Carroll, 2027 - While Steven was very present and vocal running the point and showing a very mature offensive game, on the other side of the ball she very impactful. While she could be fairly sticky defending the ball where she excelled was in contesting shots and shooting passing lanes to generate turnovers. Bank on her joining the soon to be released class rankings update.</p>

<p><strong>Kinley Reed</strong>, 5'2", PG, Early (MO), 2028 - Reed is a small, active and smart guard who sat down and flew around the half court. She disrupted especially in the half court and was one of the few guards to box out before going after rebounds. Offensively she showed an ability to hit the three ball and use the glass to score over bigs around the basket.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='999392' first='Kennedy' last='Glenn']</strong>, 5'7", CG, Booker T. Washington (OK), 2027 - The solidly built, quick and fast Glenn was among the most physical defenders. Just tears up ball handlers when they show uncertainty. She generates steals in a variety of ways. She also showed good physical strength securing balls off rebounds and steals. Offensively she showed quickness, handles and athleticism. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='881009' first='Macy' last='Price'], 5'5", CG, Olathe South, 2026 - Price is a confident on both sides of the ball but what sets her apart defensively is her quick hands. Opponents not protecting the dribble or not dribbling with purpose are openly inviting Price to pick them. Once with the ball, forget it. A terrific stop and pop shooter with really good interior vision to find the nice disk. </p>
