These guards are ready to turn it up a notch this season and help their respective teams make a strong playoff push in 2025. When each of these duos get clicking in sync, they can be ultra dangerous and quickly deflate opponents with their sharp shooting and savvy style of play.

[player_tooltip player_id='414290' first='Christa' last='Ramos'] & [player_tooltip player_id='879070' first='Bre' last='Evans'] | Neptune

Both Ramos and Evans are ranked in the Top 75 in the Senior Class and are coming off a sizzling summer with their respective AAU teams (NJ Rise & [program_tooltip program_id='714664' first='Team' last='Sharp']). They dazzled last season combining for 27.1 ppg and leading the Scarlet Fliers to a 16-10 record and a semifinal appearance in Central Jersey, Group 3. Despite their small statures (5'6" & 5'4") both are terrific rebounding guards who fearlessly crashed the glass and averaged 11.5 rpg combined. Bre established herself as one of the scrappiest defenders in the state, totaling 123 steals in 28 games, putting the clamps on opponents and forcing turnovers at a rapid pace. Christa was no slouch herself averaging 2.4 spg, including a season-high 10 steals, part of a triple-double game against Central Regional in December.

[player_tooltip player_id='525475' first='Kimi' last='Sayson'] & [player_tooltip player_id='414240' first='Reese' last='Fiore'] | Shore

These two Top 100 guards return to Shore Regional for one last go-around this winter. Averaging a combined 26.0 ppg, this duo worked in tandem to lead the Blue Devils past Wildwood in the Group 1 state semis and all the way to the Group 1 state final against juggernaut University. Kimi's court vision and all-court game combined with Reese's hot shooting made for an efficient backcourt. Kimi was one of few players in South Jersey to have triple-figure totals in points, rebounds, assists and steals, proving menacing on both sides of the ball. Averaging 6.4 spg combined, they smothered opponents, holding teams to 20 points or less five times throughout the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='878971' first='Gabrielle' last='Ziegenbalg'] & [player_tooltip player_id='816416' first='Emily' last='Mattson'] | Union Catholic

Ranked 46th in the Senior Class and 12th in the Sophomore Class respectively, Gabby and Emily are primed to wreak in the UCC. After guiding the Vikings to a South Jersey, Non-Public A appearance last season, they will look to build on that success, achieve a .500 record (for the first time since the shortened 2020-2021 season) and snag a postseason win for the first time in thirteen years. With Em's smooth mid-range game and Gabby's hot hand from 3, both of these girls can drop buckets and quickly fill up the scoring column! They combined for 28.1 ppg a season ago and return with added confidence and devastating firepower.

[player_tooltip player_id='414352' first='Talia' last='Battavio'] & [player_tooltip player_id='525557' first='Megan' last='Donelson'] | Woodstown

One of the hottest backcourts in all of South Jersey returns for more, hoping to take Woodstown one step further and achieve SJ Group 1 glory! These two had the hot hand from December to March, combining for 37.2 ppg and leading the Wolverines to an undefeated 10-0 record in the Tri-County Diamond Division. With a 21-7 overall record and an appearance in the SJ Group 1 title game, Talia and Megan helped Woodstown achieve one of the most successful seasons in the history of their program. Both notched their 1,000th career point and were the primary focus of every team's scouting report. Strong, physical guard play and tenacious defense will frustrate teams far and wide once the season kicks off.

[player_tooltip player_id='564266' first='Lily' last='King'] & [player_tooltip player_id='677601' first='Lola' last='McGonigle'] | Wildwood Catholic

Both Lily and Lola had breakthroughs this summer playing grassroots basketball and took their game to new heights. Achieving career highs in rankings (Lily at #89 in c/o '26 & Lola at #6 in the c/o '27), these two will step into more prominent roles after the departure of Kaci Mikulski, Eliott McCabe, Ava Vogdes and Destiny Wallace who accounted for 75% of the offense. Lola's sharp vision and torrid 3-point shooting combined with Lily's scoring versatility and reliable rebounding will look to lead the Crusaders to their first postseason win since 2023. Expect their previous averages of 13.3 ppg and 4.2 ppg, respectively, to increase dramatically as the season progresses.

[player_tooltip player_id='414238' first='Sylvie' last='Notine'] & [player_tooltip player_id='559133' first='Erin' last='Reid'] | Rumson-Fair Haven

Having a backcourt that can both score and rebound at a high clip is a recipe for success! Sylvie put up averages of 9.0 ppg and 3.8 rpg while Erin posted 10.3 ppg and 7.6 rpg, making them a tough tandem to contain. They helped RFH make a run to the semis of Group 2 in Central Jersey, ultimately finishing the season with an 18-9 overall record, including 5-1 in the Shore B North Division. With commitment to playing both offense and defense, these two get it done at both ends, and their combined 127 steals prove that. Look for increased production across the board with the departure of standouts Abby Boyle, Raquel Guidetti and Ella Mason.

[player_tooltip player_id='559078' first='Ava' last='Comer'] & [player_tooltip player_id='677735' first='Harper' last='Cohn'] | Mahwah

Small but mighty, don't let their 5'4"/5'5" frames fool you! At 9.9 ppg and the second leading scorer from a season ago, Harper made waves in her freshman season with the Thunderbirds! The fourth leading scorer, Ava registered just over 5 ppg and was a crucial piece to the team's 21-8 record, including 9-1 in the Big North. Quickness in transition, knockdown 3-point shooting and a high motor proved to be the keys to success and surely something that will carry over into 2025. With a summer to further develop behind them, expect major production from these two as they chase success and another postseason run that saw them land in the semis of North Jersey, Section 1, Group 2.

[player_tooltip player_id='890871' first='Katherine' last='Lange'] & [player_tooltip player_id='789537' first='Jalyn' last='Moore'] | Gloucester Catholic

This season will make the first time these two play a full schedule together... and it's sure to be something special! Katherine is returning from injury that sidelined her last season after putting up scorching numbers in her freshman campaign. Jalyn was the greatest gainer in the Class of 2026 rankings update a few weeks ago, moving up 105 spots to #30 after a sensational summer with Team DAPA. At 5'11" and 5'9" respectively, these two bring both size and skill to GC's backcourt. Both can light it up from deep off the catch and shoot, capable of knocking down multiple 3's per game each. The Rams return just about everybody and look to make waves this season, but especially in Non-Public B come playoff time. Matter of fact, this duo may just be one of the most exciting (but vastly underrated) in all of NPB!
